John Carroll Lynch’s run on Body of Proof is as dead as the vics that his Det. Bud Morris investigated.

Sources tell TVLine exclusively that the Dana Delany-led ABC crime drama, which Lynch has been with since the pilot, didn’t pick up his option for Season 3.

  2. Wow, I wonder what happened there. His character sort of annoyed me at first but really grew on me as things went along and now I can't imagine the show without him.

  3. Bummer, as I grew to like his character but this hopefully will give give the other detective (Sam?) a bit more onscreen time as she kinda disappeared last season...

  4. Bud is a fine character. I miss will miss them, but the original cast still on so, is good to me.

  5. Thought you might like to know it was his decision not to pick up his option. He probably figured the show was going to be cancelled when he got the offer for Do No Harm.Best guess.

  7. Yeah I'm hoping she gets to do something this series, she's been a bit of a sidekick up until now... It'd be nice if they fleshed her out more!
