Body of Proof - Adding a series regular

8 Jun 2012

With no detectives, it appears that Body Of Proof will focus squarely on the workings of the medical examiner office. According to a released breakdown, the series will add one new regular next season — a 30something male ethnic guy who works in the medical examiner’s office and spars with Hunt.

  1. But I don't want a new guy! I want everyone else back. And Peter does that with Megan.

I think I'm just going to watch the premiere to see how they handle everything and then I'm out.

  3. Even if you still end up liking it? I'm really going to miss the 3 departing characters and stars, particularly Peter, but it still has over half of the brilliant cast remaining and it's still Body of Proof - or at least I hope it is. Unless the shows quality seriously drops as a result of their departures, then i'm still here - even if it does feel a bit different at first :)

  4. It is clear that they are re-tooling in an effort to increase ratings. After all, it is a bubble show. It could be their last season, if ratings do not improve.

  5.  I love Peter. I was sad Bud was gone, but I was still going to watch without him. Plus, I loved the Peter/Megan relationship.

Only focusing on the medical examiner's office doesn't sound like much fun. I'm just not excited for season three anymore.

I wish they would have just cancelled it instead of doing this. I don't think the show's going to last very long, though, so I'll most likely be back for the series finale, too.

  7. Yes that obviously seems to be the plan but with so many radical changes in order to attract new viewers, they'll alienate all the excisting fans.

  8. I'm clearly in the minority but I think a shake up is a good idea. They painted themselves in a corner with Peter and Megan having a major falling out. I am not going to miss the character given his attitude and behavior in the final few eps.

There is a lot of potential, I like Dana Delaney and I hope they find a better fit. Less angst more interesting cases.

  9. I'll wait and see, but I am not expecting much.
