Save Me - NBC picks the show up to series

NBC is getting a jump on “upfront” week by picking up the Anne Heche-fronted comedy pilot Save Me to series.

The spiritually tinged sitcom finds the former Men in Trees actress playing a woman who, after an accident, believes she is channeling God.

NBC will formally unveil its fall schedule to advertisers next Monday.

    From the once great tv-channel NBC we bring you Save Me, with an actor nobody cares about in the lead role. Looks like NBC is killing their good comedies like Parks & Rec, Community and 30 Rock for darn Ryan Murphy, that guy nobody likes from The Hangover and yeah Anne Heche...


    I could say, wtf is Anne Heche. Mostly people will ask themself that, and not care. If Save Me does not get a strong lead-in it will fail alot. Im thinking next seasons edition of Free Agents. The New Normal might end up to live, a season, or six if they do a darn "made by the creator of Glee"-ad.

    Not surprised it has been one of the front runners for a while now, I believe this one along with Matthew Perry's new comedy and Grimm will be airing in August so will hopefully all benefit from a decent lead in from the Olympics. IMO NBC aught to air these shows all the way up to the winter hiatus then air their existing low rated shows from January to May, less breaks may help all.

    Meh.... I don't dislike her or anything, but she has never been a huge draw for me, and the show itself sounds very mediocre....

    I'm not fond of Anne Heche as an actress an the premiss doesn't do anything for me.I doubt i'll even check it out..

    Anne Heche has been good in one thing and that was the soap Another World.. other than that.. shes a crappy actress...
