  1. Yay for Revolution!

Can we hear the fucking renewals already, though? This is driving me nuts.

  2. That sucks that NBC is the one that got Revolution, I'd trust it to last if it was on a different channel.  But honestly, I'm not looking for all the new show pick ups NBC!  I want to hear if you were smart and renewed Community and Parks and Rec!

  3. other NBC pick ups expected within the next few days-Chicago Fire, Do No Harm, Notorious, County and a few more comedies yet too

  7.  Isn't this great!!! I was reading about it a little while ago posted here somewhere. They must of just decided in the last hour. Now the anticipation begins,i wonder who the leads will be?

  8. Cool for Revolution, it seems ambitious (so it's going to get cancelled).

But if Community or Parks & Rec gets cancelled for some Ryan Murphy bullcrap, I'm gonna go apeshit.
I get that they want Matthew Perry back on their network with Go On, I'd watch that too (despite the disappointment that was Mr Sunshine), but New Normal, seriously ? No one would have ever picked up that show if Ryan Murphy's name (creator of the cult phenomenon that is Glee, obviously) wasn't attached to it. Because the pitch sucks, mostly because it's supposed to be a sitcom and I just can't see how it can be funny, especially on the long haul : two guys and their surrogate, I can't imagine a 2-hour movie about that that wouldn't be boring or seen a hundred times already (oh, but it's gay guys, so it's totally different), so a comedy series lasting more than 9 months (she's gonna have to deliver the baby at some point, and then the show will become even less original) ? No way. And props to the preachy title.

No, I'd definitely be pissed if it takes the spot of genuine comedies like Community, 30 Rock, The Office and Parks and Rec.

  13. Ahh, cheers.  Have to admit, I've never come across that page before.
    Lots to chew on :-)

  14. I won't be trying Revolution out.  NBC's track record with shows like this are atrocious.

  15. Giancarlo Esposito's presence alone guarantees a watch.

  16. Dahne named the biggies! But IMDb gives more! Including alleged character names! -Looks like we will be following a family surnamed, Matheson!

Don't know whom out of the rest will become a regular, but there are some good looking people in The Pilot!

  17. It's Kripke.... and JJ.... so I'm very hopeful on the quality, even if it is NBC because have you *seen* Awake?

What I am worried about because of the NBC factor are the ratings.... because again, I'm pointing at Awake

(it bums me out because I think they could have made a kickass primetime combo those two shows paired up on the same night... but Awake's not getting renewed so there's that idea....)

  18. YAY!!! Revolution... all the quiet and radio silence and anticipation payed off... now I just hope it's just as great as it has the potential to be!!!

Re New Normal: I'm not the type to bow to RM's altar, because I think he has MAJOR issues with following through on the quality of his shows, but I will probably check that one out too.

  19.  Well that's the problem at NBC - if the quality doesn't tank it the ratings will.

  20. Revolution=this season The Event?

Starts of big in NBC terms, fades fast, dies

  21.  Oh yeah! I know a lot of the people that are going to be in this, it should be good, ummm maybe i should say fingers crossed, and i hope its good, just because its by JJ doesn't mean its going to be a hit..by the networks anyway.
I don't think i heard of Shelter before,i'll check it out!

  22. Thanks Dahne! As Robert said Giancarlo alone is worth it.

  23. Yeah as interesting as Revolution might end up being it is sadly destined to fail and not just because its NBC I don't think it would work on any main network in the current climate, its another Flashfoward/Event/Terra Nova waiting to happen.
