What a huge disappointment! Nothing really happened, it told us nothing we didn't already know. It ended up being basically about how terrible the hair was before...
Totally have to agree with you. It felt like a filler episode, but I feel like filler isn't even the right word to describe it (you could remove the episode from the season and lose nothing at all).
I was expecting more from what I had read in interviews and spoilers, but I was completely let down.
I was kind of bored, but I guess it was still interesting? I don't know. It wasn't the best of episodes, but I guess learning how David Clarke and Victoria met was interesting.
The episode was good enough, it's good to know how it all began for Amanda but of course it kinda steers away from all the momentum from last week's episode. Just want to see what's gonna go down in 2012! I'm sure they have a better reason as to why they did a flash-back episode this late in the season. Looks like next week's episode is gonna be EXPLOSIVE.
P.S. Young Jack, Nolan and Declan was pure WIN,WIN,WIN
Haha I must be the only one who loved the episode. I like that they were able to explore how Amanda came to loathe these people and begin her journey of revenge. I love seeing them all cross paths years ago, and it was nice to see many of the characters who are now gone return. Loved it!
huh...Maybe it was that the build up was too much. Or maybe this ep should have been aired earlier in the season. I think my biggest problem was that it brought the momentum that's been building up since they returned from hiatus to a screeching halt. We didn't really get anything that informed where we left off last week and that's what I was expecting.
One thing the episode did do for me was underline the fact that I seriously love Nolan. Offering to walk away from the sale of the house was a really sweet thing to do. So why did Jack's girlfriend feel the need to get Nolan punched in the gut for doing the family a solid? (This point kind of leads to another problem I had with this episode....why introduce questions like these that revolve around characters we'll likely never see again?)
I looooooved it! I get why I alot of people didn't, but personally, I'm a sucker for backstory and this was a whole episode filled with backstory so YAY!!!
Agree with you about the wrong placement of this ep. well I would think that they will do (atleast) 1 more flashback episode, mainly to see how she will be trained by that asian-revenge-master. This would probably happen just after the events we've seen in this episode.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

I wasn't at the edge of my seat like other episodes but still was a good one. I got to know some interesting character background.

The episode would make sense in the middle of season, not 2 episodes before finale. Still it was OK, but nothing more.
ReplyDeleteA stellar episode! I'm glad we finally got to see exactly what made Amanda to want revenge.
ReplyDeleteyou must've been watching a different show than me then..
ReplyDeleteI'll agree that maybe they should have had it earlied, but I'll disagree over how good it was, because I found it to be a fantastic episode.
