Grace Park looked pretty damn good. Also she actually looked happy, which is kinda rare. I think she has a cute smile so it was nice to see her do it. I hope things work out between those two. By the way, I totally did not see the identity of her boyfriend coming.
Wo Fat will get out of prison, that storyline will never end.
I had a feeling it was Adam, because it would cause a lot of conflict for Kono and if she was with the techie guy, there wouldn't be nearly as much conflict.
Decent ep, but there were a lot of things that felt a bit too unbelievable to rate it higher, but still very entertaining and it was good to see Alex and the bromance alive and kicking again. I'm glad that they gave Kono a decent plotline to run with, and I hope that they give her more as she is too underutilized along with Chin. You know that we'll see Wo Fat and perhaps Adam again...
Just started...will return to edit... Kono's man is HOT (This guy is one of my list of actors I love to see get work.) but why do I have the feeling this is gonna end badly. Danny's conversation at the CIA was just a tad embarrassing. Not smooth at all. :-D
Well, that was a rough landing. Have I said it's really good to have McGarrett back! I have always love to watch Mark Dacascos fight.
Really liked this ep. Lots of action. Kono's romance didn't go as far wrong as I expected.
Loved it. Steve is BACK! Finally. Too much Kono for my taste, but I guess I'm pretty much alone with that. ;-) Wo Fat will get out, no doubt, but it was very nice for Steve to get his man. Need to watch again. :-)
Absolutely AMAZING! One of the best episodes of the season, and one of the best of the show so far. It was really, really good to see Alex again. Plus, the team scene near the end of the episode :3 awesome! Especially the fact that we finally - FINALLY - got a hug between Steve and Kono.
This was an incredible episode. Lots of action, Alex is back healthy and happy, Kono got a story line, Danny got to put some moves on a guard, Chin always to the rescue. Great acting in this episode. Loved the hugs at the end.
Amazing! It is so great to finally have Steve back. His fight scenes with wo fat were totally awesome and when he hugged each team member at the end I have to admit I felt a little warm & fuzzy. Of course they missed u, Steve. We all did! Great to see Kono finally get some too. One if my favorite episodes of the season
Way to bring McGarrett back, I so missed the bromance and the action! Messing up Danny's hair was priceless as was the, "what are you wearing" banter (LOL!) Smiles and hugs at the end were well deserved...looking forward to next week except what are we to do for 4 months without out our 5-0 fix :(
Episodes like this are the reason I fricking love this show. The action and stunt sequences did not disappoint and the main 4 all had cool stuff to do. It was really great to have Alex back looking healthy and well. I cannot wait till the finale!
What a way to bring Steve back with a bang. The showdown in the jungle was awesome. How cute is Danny worrying about Steve? His comment about the cargo pants made everyone in my house burst out laughing. This is the coolest show on television! Alex looked fantastic & STEVE IS BACK!!
Loved this episode. It deserved better ratings than it got. Alex DID look so much better than before when everyone was so concerned about his health. He put on weight, looked really energetic and not so tired. I loved the storyline with Kono and Adam. Didn't see it coming and it wasn't boring like the other romances in this show, which I could have done without. Scott continues to hit it out of the park and he's become my favorite character.
CARGO PANTS!LOVED IT! I agree words cannot describe how brilliant that episode was. 100% action packed no problems at all but the thing that confused and shocked me was that Wo Fat was working with the CIA OMG I couldn't believe it I did not... say that again I did not see that happen!
Next week is going to be interesting can't wait
Trivia the girl that played Charlie at the shooting range is a relative to Jack Lord her name is Jacqueline Lord
I couldn't agree more about the Park visuals in this episode but was disappointed about Kono's choice in boyfriend. As a law enforcement official, how would one even put themselves in a situation that would allow something like this to happen? This doesn't speak well to Kono's character.
Aww come on it's not that bad. If it wasn't for Kono he probably never would have put that gun down. And he also doesn't seem to be such a bad guy. For the son of a powerful Yakuza, he's been shown twice now to go to great lengths for the people he cares about.
He also didn't hurt Kono and was extremely reluctant to do any harm to her in any way. What lengths wouldn't you go to when a loved one is being mailed to you in pieces? He was also genuinely surprised about the death of that CIA agent.
As for Kono herself, I think the fact that she looked past his father's criminal past speaks very well to her character. She judges people based on who they are, not who people think they are, or what their family has done. You're making the assumption that she's a bad judge of character, but I believe she's smart enough to know the difference between a good and a bad guy.
In the end, he put the gun down and didn't kill anyone, even with the man who practically destroyed his father standing just five feet away. Could you have had the same restraint?
None of what took place in the episode is what I'm concerned with. It's about how it got to this point.
"She judges people based on who they are, not who people think they are, or what their family has done."
The man she's seeing is the head of a criminal organization. That's not who people think he is, it's who he actually is. Let's also not forget that his subordinates attempted to kill McGarrett in this episode.
"You're making the assumption that she's a bad judge of character"
No, I'm questioning her decision making skills. She's an officer of the law and for ANY officer of the law, having any kind of personal relationship with a gang member, let alone the head of the local Yakuza should have been a non-starter.
Didn't the person who tried to assault Steve on the plane carry a taser gun? And as for the people in that helicopter, they had orders to bring Wo Fat in alive, and seeing as he was surprised by the death of that CIA agent, and he outright told Steve he didn't want to hurt him, he actually went out of his way not to harm Steve.
As for the criminal organization, the position was INHERITED from his father, who definitely was a criminal. I'm guessing he thought he could do more to make it legit by taking it over rather than letting someone just as bad as his father take the position.
As for how Kono and Adam met, I'm sure we'll find out at some point. However they ended up meeting, it was likely by chance. I seriously doubt that one of them just suddenly asked out the other.
"I seriously doubt that one of them just suddenly asked out the other."
That's kind of my point. To get to this point, these two would have had to spend a significant amount of time together and that never should have happened.
It's not like they were at separate ends of the world. It's entirely likely that they bumped into each other and things just went on from there. I also seriously doubt Kono didn't have reservations of her own when they started dating, but those obviously cleared up by the time of this episode.
There are a thousand different ways these two could have ran into each other while on Hawaii. We know that Kono likes to surf a lot, so maybe that is where they met.
And come on, who would flirt with Kono when she's wearing any one of those bikinis she is sometimes seen in.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you. I thought Fong was gonna be the boyfriend, but I was wrong. :P
ReplyDeleteSo I am wondering If they are about to end the ongoing woo fat storyline or If he will get out of prison
ReplyDeletesomehow.
Wo Fat will get out of prison, that storyline will never end.
ReplyDeleteI had a feeling it was Adam, because it would cause a lot of conflict for Kono and if she was with the techie guy, there wouldn't be nearly as much conflict.
Awesome episode. Steve is back. I'm so happy!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan we just pretend that Kono/Adam thing never happened? Please?

ReplyDeleteITA with all you said especially on the Kono side I too hope she gets more.

ReplyDeletethis episode was over the top for the word awesome a perfect 10 plus a great way to steve return
ReplyDeleteI loved it! So glad Steve is back, and Alex is looking pretty healthy, so good for him.
ReplyDeleteI hope Kono and her boyfriend can work out their issues. And awww at Danny starting to sound like Steve.
same here
ReplyDeletei loved how the first comment from danny to steve was regarding the cargo pants
ReplyDeleteThis was an incredible episode. Lots of action, Alex is back healthy and happy, Kono got a story line, Danny got to put some moves on a guard, Chin always to the rescue. Great acting in this episode. Loved the hugs at the end.

It was an awesome and explosive new episode! McGarrett caught Wo Fat!

ReplyDeleteIt was just wonderful seeing Alex back last night! It has been way too long! I wonder what will happen next week and who is the team going to lose?!

ReplyDeleteRatings were down because Castle's episode last night was the finale and a lot of people watch both shows.
ReplyDeleteWhat didn't you like her naked in the shower? I thought every guy would've loved that

I'm sure it's very easy for these two to bump into each other. It's the "just went on from there" part I have an issue with.
ReplyDeleteThis is something Kono NEVER should have even considered.
Because no nice, upstanding woman would ever go for a bad boy?
ReplyDeleteBecause if it weren't for the nepotism of the 5-0 task force, something like this would be career suicide.
ReplyDeleteBut she is a part of 5-0 and she likes Adam. Considering that he hasn't actually killed anyone yet, I choose to give him the benefit of doubt.
ReplyDeleteIn the end he put down his gun because of Kono. That means something.
Ha!
ReplyDelete"In the end he put down his gun"
If someone has to use that sentence in reference to a significant other it's generally a really bad sign.
It's getting a little difficult to read these.
