I thought Quinn was faking not being able to walk after seeing last week's promo... and though I didn't put it past her to stay in the chair for the sympathy vote, I was still sad to be proven right. I hoped she'd gotten past that kind of attitude. I'm glad everyone got over themselves and went to the actual prom... Finn was right - despite all of their personal issues, it's one of the last milestones they're going to cross together, and they should make the most of it. Puck crowning Becky the queen of the anti-prom may have been the sweetest thing he's ever done. I was smiling so wide. And Quinn and Santana giving queen to Rachel was a nice surprise, too. Obnoxious as Rachel can be, she really did need a win. And Finn's little moment with her on the dance floor? Yeah, it may have made me clear my throat a little to unclog the emotion.
Song time: I think this episode actually made me like "Big Girls Don't Cry", which I thought was a complete impossibility. I enjoyed that little trio. I also may have a secret love for songs featuring Rachel and Blaine. On another note, PROM. I can't believe they actually did Ke$ha's "Dinosaur"... I prayed they wouldn't go there, but ohhhh they did. And One Direction? I'm not familiar with them, but I do know they're basically this year's equivalent of Justin Bieber. Still, I didn't hate it. Side note: I really didn't think Blaine looked bad without hair gel... in fact, I may like him better without it haha... it's kind of adorable!
(I also didn't realize I had this much to say... yikes!)
Okay, so this episode by far was my favorite. Just...everything was so amazing tonight. No flaws, IMO. This was the first episode I actually loved in a long time.
My favorite part was Rachel getting told off. Santana told her what it is. Thank you!!! Rachel gets everything she wants. Why did she need prom queen?? Quinn and Santana said they wanted to do something good that made a difference why was allowing Rachel to win something meaningful. She is selfish and self centered. I love that Quinn can walk but I have no idea why Finn freaked like that. I was uncalled for, she told them she was working on walking again so why is it weird she can. And she was in a wheel chair because her walking wasn't really strong yet. I loved the scene with Becky and Puck and king and Queen. I loved Blaine and Kurt they are too cute. Also I'm glad to see Mercedes and Sam together again. And of course Mike and Tina are always and forever just so cute together.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Love, love, loved this episode!
