    A very different episode.  I liked how they went into the university setting to explain what they do and told the story of catching a serial killer that had been hunting for 20 years.  I felt bad for Rossi, that he had to deal with this every year on his birthday.  Also loved the make-up job to make everyone look a little younger.

    is a good practice tv experience for student of criminal justice and learn how to ask correct question with respect & show a serial killer develop his trade mark and the distant that investigate could go to give the family victims a piece of mind i am sorry with rossi wait a year to that creap give a name to do that is unbearable

    It was really interesting. I loved it! Poor Rossi. That case really fucked with him. It was so creepy, too!

    I will say this about the KOTW...his grandmother got one lesson ingrained...how to be cruel; making Rossi deal with this on his birthday was just mean.  And including the name in a makeshift birthday card.  Ugh!

    I loved the way they handled the aging...especially for Rossi.  I kept trying to see through the cracks...and never really did.

    It was a very different episode from most of what they've done and I was impressed to see that they found a way to make an ep feel fresh given that this is such a formulaic style of series  that it has run for a long time.

    I love it when Criminal Minds does these kinds of episodes, that the other crime procedurals on tv can't do. This one had a very subtle, understated tone to it, but still managed to really bring across the evil of the KOTW, and the narrated flashback format fit the plot really well. One of the better episodes of the season.
