After last nights Finale, Castle fans broke records for the number of votes on Castle Polls here. It seemed like you enjoyed it ;)
So now that Season 4 is over, which Season was your best.
Let us know in the comments which Season you voted for an why.
I have a hard time deciding! Season one is one since I've only seen one episode from that year (Didn't start watching until late and still haven't gotten the DVDs). Season two was pretty good, but I liked season three. And as much as I'm thrilled about the finale, season four pissed me off a little.
ReplyDelete...I've always liked season 3 the most, but oh god after this episode,i'm voting for season 4.
ReplyDeleteall of them is that an option?
ReplyDeleteIt's hard because each season builds on the previous one. Four wouldn't be as epic if it wasn't for three, three wouldn't work if not for two, etc... Even though the show IS in seasons, the continuity of the story is so tight that it's difficult to separate out... That being said, season 3 probably FLOWED the best, but season 4 built a major game-changer and that FINALE - best ever!
ReplyDeleteI voted season 4 because of episodes like "Rise", "Cops and Robbers", "Kill Shot" or the finale, but honestly it's a tie between seasons 3 and 4 for me. Love the character arcs in both those seasons.
ReplyDeleteTough question... I loved season 3 and last night episode was the cherry on top that was season 4.
ReplyDeleteI voted for season 3, though. It might be sentimental since it's the season that made me fall hard for the show and turned me into a real Castle/Caskett fan. Hopefully, I'll love them for many years to come.
my favorites are all. ALWAYS :D
ReplyDeleteThe last is the best, season 4 is now my favorite. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's like the big bang theory...The first season was great...but the next oone is always better...I can't wait for Castle'S season 5 !!!!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to have to go with season 3. A lot of my favourite episodes are in the other seasons but I think overall season 3 was the strongest one.
ReplyDeleteEach of them for different reasons - like growing up, can you pick which age is best? The seasons followed the growth of the characters, and the storylines:
ReplyDeleteI love season one for the fun of it, the sheer giggles of all the silly, wonderful fun, but with the quieter serious times to value the rest.
Season two is the childhood, the learning its place, its pace and its mistakes. Trying things out but following a good main path.
Season three and four have been like teenagers, angst and changing their minds, and bold brave and crazy scared. Sideways looks and baited breath.
I know that I'm gonna love season five too, the leaving home and the whole new world, but still the same central path, a little less safety net, discovering new and rediscovering old truths.
Yes, there are many echoes of this in the show, many characters that are developing and growing; we plant the seed for the fruit, don't ask me which is my favourite stalk! The strength of the show is in the building, fairly consistently (I'm a fan, not blind XP ) of each of the parts. Some faster than others, but that just makes the watching more interesting.
And the watching again, and again, and again, and again.....!!!! :D
I can't decide. I love them all. They're so different but flow so perfectly from one to another. Character and relationship progression. It feels like you're reading a book.
ReplyDeleteYou summed it up perfectly! I can
ReplyDeleteI wish we would have saved this for later on during the summer when we could have reflected a bit more about the season.Plus it could have kick started the pre-season hoopla!
ReplyDeleteLoved season 4's season finale!!!
ReplyDeleteThere were some great episodes this season, but when I really think about it, Season 3 was fantastic. I think it was their strongest effort.
ReplyDeleteDespite the awesomeness that was the season 4 finale, and some very top notch episodes, I still think season 3 as a whole was better. But I get why season 4 had them put the brakes on the UST/Chemistry in what seemed like on purpose. Since the whole season we had this shadow of secrets hanging over it.
ReplyDeleteI'd say its close to a tie on season 3 and 4, since those two seasons in particular really started to work towards a possible hookup. Here's hoping season 5 brings back a little fun and jibes back and resolves Beckett's mother's murder. Im sure there's plenty of new arcs to bring to the table in upcoming seasons, without spinning that conspiracy out much further.
Why isn't there a "All Seasons" button?
ReplyDeleteI voted for season 4, but ask me again after a few weeks, after today's ep, everything is so shiny... XD
ReplyDeleteSeason 2!
ReplyDeleteFor me season 3 was the best. It was fast paced, entartaining and funny. Season 4 was great too. It had great beginig and amazing ending but I feel like it missed something between that.
ReplyDeleteI hated Kate's hair in season 1. LOL
I had to give my vote to Season 2: "Deep in Death," "Double Down," "Fool Me Once," "A Rose for Ever After," "Sucker Punch," "Third Man," "Tick Tick Tick" and "Boom"... There were some amazing highlights that year, both in drama and pure fun.
ReplyDeleteBUT, that said, my loyalty to dear old season 1 knows know bounds, season 3 had some AMAZING moments too ("A Deadly Affair" and "Nikki Heat" are still among my absolute favorites), and season 4 has been undeniably amazing, with "Cops and Robbers," "Kill Shot," "Cuffed," "The Blue Butterfly" and OF COURSE last night!
So, yeah, I voted for season 2, but there's nothing easy about taking four things you love madly and picking just one!
Regardless of the good S4 finale, my favorite season is still season one. Hopefully, now that Kate and Rick are together, the show can get back to some of the cool elements of Castle that were dropped after the first season.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a marvelous show since day one so this was actually a very hard choice. Eventually I went with S2. Something about going with a "vintage season" felt right....
ReplyDeleteSeason 4 = CASKETT! (finally...)
ReplyDeleteTherefore, Season 4 is my favorite so far! :D
I voted season 2. For me that's when the Castle/Beckett relationship was best - the banter and sexual chemistry were great and we weren't too bogged down with the conspiracy surrounding Beckett's mother's murder. I nearly lost interest throughout season 3 and season 4 was hit and miss for me (although the finale was great for obvious reasons). Season 1 was pretty much on par with season 2 for me.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite season is always, the next one ;-)
ReplyDeleteI have such a hard time with this!!! I can't decide between season 3 and 4!!
ReplyDeleteSeason 1: very good, but the show was still finding its ground.
ReplyDeleteSeason 2: very well written, the romantic tension rises, mysteries unfold, etc. It was an intense and extremely fun (and funny) season. My favorite so far.
Season 3: great and very intense, but it was a little too dark for my taste. I know it was necessary for story development, but I missed some of the silliness from season 2.
Season 4: too many filler episodes in order to stall the story development to be able to do a Caskett oriented season finale. It was still a very good season, but they dragged somethings for too long.
So... I vote season 2.
Even though season 1 is not my favorite, I really do miss some of the stuff they abandoned after season 1.
ReplyDeleteI just fear that they will focus too much on Beckett's resignation (and as we all know, how she will rejoin the force), the drama between Ryan and Esposito and the Smith-related developments.
I only hope that if they kill Smith, Castle isn't the one who gets the files. That would be really mean, but they could use it to create a rift between him and Beckett, because he would either ommit from her what he knew (and she would eventually find out), or tell her that he had the info but not tell her who the bad guy is in order to protect her, which would once again piss her off. Let's just wait and see.
I'm not worried about the resignation or the Ryan / Esposito falling out. That will likely only take a few episodes to resolve and won't be the season's focus.
ReplyDeleteSo I voted for season 4...come on! yesterday's episode it can't be even described...but here come really big BUT, how can we be sure that they are really together, we all know Andrew pretty well so I'm not sure if I can trust him in this...I would love to believe that they are gonna live forever after, but I won't believe until I'll see it so I'm really excited about season 5 I think that is gonna be our favorite one!!! Okay that is all from me! Sorry for the article but I couldn't help...Love you all Caskett fans <3
ReplyDeleteseason 4 is awesome, but please, just gimme the killer of kate becketts mom already enough that montgomery dead.. and kate resign, I dont want another person will be dead.. or gone, or a betrayer..
ReplyDeleteFor me is a combination of 2 and 3 create thats create the outcome of season 4
ReplyDeleteI love all the seasons but to be honest season 3 was by far my favorite because it was most exciting for me and I never was bored with an episode. I honestly sometimes went back and watched an episode again before the next one aired. Season 4 was kind of boring and didn't have that much mystery or excitement like the other seasons. Truth is, the best part of season 4 was the finale.
ReplyDeleteI voted for season 4, but ask me again after a few weeks, after today's ep, everything is so shiny... XD
