That True Blood / Chris Meloni "spoiler" is a prime example of why Kristin has THE WORST spoiler column out there. It's amazing that she has the nerve to try and pass off a photo that has been out since last week (and posted seemingly everywhere) as some kind of scoop.
TVDElena would never choose Elijah. It's his fault Jenna died. She can't forget that.
Besides she already has 2 guys on her back. She really doesn’t need another one.
Most of her friends accept that she loves both brothers. They both help and protect the town. They would sacrifice their lives for Elena and the others. And Elijah? He failed on the one promise he gave to Elena and he disappears when it gets to dangerous. He is not reliable. He can't be trusted.
I know. But it's not just her. It's her entire family (except Jenna).
Her father (both of them), hunter, Isobel and Katerina (her ancestors), vampires, Jeremy had a thing for vampires too (Anna. And he wanted to turn), Elena, stuck between 2 vampires.
Oh puhlease. Even though I agree with you that Elena would never choose Elijah, if she can get over Damon killing Jeremy and Alaric when the mood strikes him, she can get over Jenna's death. Not that Jenna's death is even Elijah's fault. It's his fault that her death ended up being meaningless. See the difference? Besides,Jenna's death was more Damon's fault considering he set Caroline free which meant Klaus had to use his backup vampire if you wanna go by your "logic". Personally, I choose to blame the person who turned Jenna and killed her in the ritual - Klaus.
Elijah can be trusted as much as Elena and her friends can be. Which is not a whole lot. And sorry, I had to laugh at your "protect the town" bit. By protection, are you referring to how Damon came to town and pretty much killed anyone he wanted to or how Stefan went through his serial killer binge? Lbr, the brothers work to protect Elena and ONLY Elena. On occasion, they will help Elena's friends because they mean something to Elena. Occasionally.
I just feel the opposite. Very eager to see Jane losing it. I think some temporary change like Jane being kicked out off CBI, our the team on suspension etc. might be interesting. Somethink big to change the routine of the show. The key word being: temporary I love how Red John can affect Jane. From time to time, a dark twist help us remember that the smiling and goofing Jane is mostly a brave mask he put on.
Well not quite true this time, but it depends on what shows you watch. I watch Being Human and I almost had a heart attack that she had new scoop this time. Sometimes I wonder if she just surfs this site 99.9999% of the time to come up with her scoop lol.
When Damon killed Alaric the first time it was self-defense (sort of. Alaric attacked first). The second time and in Jeremys case he knew they had the rings and would come back. Although I must agree, that Damon had very bad temper and no manners at that time.
And it's true, that Klaus turned and killed Jenna. But it was Elijahs job to protect her. Elena trusted him with her life. She knew, Elijah was gonna deliver her to Klaus and that he would kill her. And she did as he wanted, cause he promised her to protect her loved once. And Klaus is a psychopath of the worst kind. True, that Damon freed Caroline and Tyler. But Klaus could take every vampire, turn every human. He chose Jenna to torture Elena (he is taking it on her, cause Katerina pissed him off 500 years ago). And I still believe that he planned it all along. Remember, as he said, he had a backup plan. Backup wolf, backup vampire and probably a backup witch. I know, that he said, it was because Damon freed Caroline. And here is my problem: If he wanted to punish Damon, why did he took Jenna? Why not someone close to Damon? He would have found someone. Liz, for sample. She and Damon are friends. Why didn't he took Stefan (except the fact that he is one of the major characters)? Damon didn't care about Jenna. The only persons he hurt by taking Jenna were Elena, Jeremy and Alaric. Not Damon, not even Stefan.
Well, true that none of Elenas friends is 100% trustworthy. But still I trust them (even Bonnie who was a pain in the ass many times lately an caused more problems then she solved) more than Elijah.
I already said, that Damon had a bad temper and no manners at the beginning. And yes, he killed. A lot. But at the end he did the right thing. He helped protect the town from other vampires and the tomb vampires (although his motives were mostly selfish). And for the past 2 seasons (season and a half) he is protecting them from the originals. True, that Elena is his no.1 priority (no one is denying that), but he started to care for others too.
Well, Klaus and Becca tried to kill the brothers many time and they didn't leave town. True, they wanted to protect Elena. Means, they considered her life more important than their own. And Elijah? Well he could have stayed and helped fighting Klaus, but he preferred to leave. Means that he considerers his life more important than any other (or should I say than all the other lives Klaus destroyed).
Haha I wouldn't put it past her lol.. Its so true it does all depend on what shows you like, but in this past year there has only been 4 NEW scoops, that's it,at least for me. Considering she is in the entertainment industry that's pretty bad! Count yourself lucky getting a new scoop, only 3 more to look forward too! :)
LMAO - again. Why was it Elijah's job to protect Jenna again? Oh right, that was in the ORIGINAL deal that Elena and her boytoys broke.
What's your point with Klaus again? Yes, he took Jenna to torture Elena. So are you saying it's Elena's fault now? Anything to avoid blaming Damon, huh? Again, I suggest you not work so hard and just go with Klaus.
You said Elijah was "unreliable", "untrustworthy". I'm just going to point out that the Salvatores, Alaric, Elena screwed Elijah over FIRST. And then you tell me that they are more trustworthy again. Go on.
Seriously, give me ONE occasion where Damon selflessly tried to keep the town safe. Just one time when it had no relation to Elena, or by extension her friends. He's been protected the town from the Originals? What exactly have the Originals done to the town that was any worse than Damon/Stefan? And why exactly has he been working against the Originals? Because he's such a noble and wonderfully selfless vampire who just want to protect his birthplace? LOL. Because of Elena. It's ALWAYS Elena. Not only that, before Elena became his newest obsession, he felt completely fine with murder and mayhem because that's what Katherine liked. Damon is like a dog. Can be trained for anything.
AND WHY SHOULD ELIJAH NOT CONSIDER HIS OWN LIFE BEFORE THE LIVES OF PEOPLE WHO TRIED TO KILL HIM? Gurl, bye!
Yes, Elena and Elijah had a deal, that Damon broke (by trying to kill him). But then they made a new deal. Witch was kind of same as the first. Elena would play nice and go to the ritual and Elijah would protect her loved once. And kill Klaus when the time was right (during the ritual).
I never said it's Elenas fault. None of this is her fault. She never wanted to be part of this supernatural world. She never wanted to love a vampire, be the doppelganger, put her friends in danger. She didn't choose that. Jennas death is only Klaus fault. He kidnaped, turned and killed her. And what happened to Caroline and Tyler also wasn't Elenas fault. It was Katerina.
True, Damon and Alaric tried to kill Elijah first, I'm not denying that. But what about their motives? Doesn't that count at all? Damon and Alaric did that to safe Elena (an innocent girl). Elijah wanted to sacrifice her to get close enough to his brother to kill him. You try to tell me, that Damon is evil because he broke a deal to safe a girls life? I don't think so. His motives were selfless. Elijah is always acting selfish.
Well it's impossible to give you a sample where Damons selfless acts to protect the town isn’t related to Elena or one of her friends. Cause all this events are actually related to Elena and her friends. Maybe the founders day? When the tomb vampires wanted to massacre all members of the founding familys as revenge. Elena didn't cause it and she wasn't in danger.
Now that I think of … Elena is a real magnet for problems. But again, it's not her fault. She didn't choose to be the doppelganger.
Of course Damon is not the knight in shining armor. What he is doing he is doing for Elena. As I said. She is his no.1 priority.
A dog that can be trained? Don't let him hear that. Elena didn't train him. If she would have tried he'd killed her instantly. She showed him the way, but she didn't forced him to walk it. She showed him, that he won't be tortured to death or something like that if he actually cares for someone besides him. And she showed him, that there are other ways to get what you want, except for killing, torturing and compelling. And from the flashbacks we know, that Damon wasn't always evil. He was a nice and good young man before he turned. He fled form the war. The reason he became like he was in S1 and S2 was, that he felt betrayed by everyone he cared for. His father killed him, he believed that his brother betrayed him and Katerina and the woman he loved shared blood with his brother too. He probably believed, it would be easier if he just looked out for no.1. Himself.
I never said that something is wrong if you consider your life more important than others. I just say, that he cared only for himself, not caring about others. Why should you trust someone like that? No matter what kind of deal you have; the moment, he believes his life is in danger, he'll betray you and run to safe his own neck. Stefan or Damon never left. They risked their lives for others. And if I had to choose whom I trust more, it would be someone I knew wouldn't leave me.
No. The deal was that Elijah would work with them. Nothing else was promised because they stupidly broke the first deal. If you are referring to the promise that Elena managed to wrangle out of him before sticking a dagger into him... Well, I'd love to hear you argue for why a guy needs to keep promises to people who killed him.
Their motives count but his doesn't? They are allowed to screw him over for Elena but he is not allowed to do the same for his family. Ok then.
No, aside from admitting Damon's obsession over Elena, you also claimed that he has worked to protect the town. I asked WHEN? Just because he has done things that have benefitted the town, that does not equal protecting it when all he was ever motivated by was Elena.
OIC. So Damon feeling "betrayed" by his father and brother, rejected by his love, fighting over the same girl with his brother is good enough to excuse his selfish behaviour but Elijah having been hunted by his father and brother, mother etc, betrayed by his brother, and fought over the same girl as his brother is not enough to excuse his "selfishness". Selfishness you perceive from him just leaving town after people tried to kill him. I can't get over how you are hilariously actually, trying to argue for why he should stick around and help people who just tried to kill him and his entire family. Maybe Elijah would be more "reliable" and "trustworthy" if Elena and her boyfriends didn't try to kill him - again. What a novel thought. At what point in the show have the characters done anything to deserve Elijah's loyalty? Since he does not owe them anything - CONSIDERING HOW MANY TIMES THEY ATTEMPTED TO AND DID KILL HIM - how is it being selfish to leave them to fend for themselves? Elijah does care about other people than himself - his family. When did Elijah promise Elena to look after/help her? When did they make this deal since you claim they have some "deal" that he broke to selfishly leave town?
Has Elena continuously tried to kill Stefan and Damon and they still stuck around to help her against her enemies? If not, stop comparing Elijah to the Salvatores!
"Why a guy needs to keep promises to people who killed him" well, for one cause he needed Elena to get to Klaus. Klaus was well hidden and protected. It was hard to give him the massage that the doppelganger was available. Without Elena Klaus would never come.
I told you. It’s the motive that count's (to me). It's one thing to "screw someone over" if you want revenge and kill your brother, or if you try to protect an innocent girl. Don't you think?
Agree that Damon and Elijah were both acting selfishly. The difference is, that Damon changed. He did it for Elena, true. But he did change. That is more than I can say about Elijah
True. The brothers tried several times to betray and kill Elijah. But why? Cause there was nothing interesting in TV? Elijah was going to kill the girl they loved. Wouldn’t you kill or betray someone you don't even know to protect someone you love? The brothers would never try to kill Elijah if Elenas life wouldn't be on jeopardy.
And I agree, that Elijah was running for centuries. From his father, from his brother, betrayed by the own family.
You're right. Elijah and Elena never had a deal that he broke by leaving the town. But before the ritual they said they'll work together to kill Klaus. Circumstances changed. Klaus was a hybrid by now and Elijah spend the last months in a coffin. But they still had the same goal. Kill Klaus. I just hoped, that they would work together on that one.
Besides: Why are you yelling at me about me comparing the Salvatores to the originals and compering their motives. How many times did the originals tried to kill Elena and the Salvatores? And how many times did Klaus betray his siblings? What about that? Why should the Salvatores trust Elijah? And the other way around. Why should Elijah trust the brothers? Well, how about a reason for the originals to trust Klaus? I can think of none. And don't give me any crab about siblings and family and blood. Blood doesn't always mean family. And Family doesn't mean you have to be related by blood. If you're gonna trust someone like Klaus just because you're related to him you got bigger problems than I thought.
Except, their deal was just Elijah's help since once again for the slow ones - they broke the previous deals! And yes, deals you make before you screw the person over and kill them are null and voided.
Oh really. Saving someone you love (Elena) has more value than saving someone you love (your family). Makes total sense. And please, don't give the "crap" about "innocent girl" as if that even factored in. The Salvatores also tried to save Katherine who is far from an "innocent little girl" so let's not make it out to be like the Salvatores are oh so heroic, going around and saving innocent damsels in distress and what not. Their motivation for saving Elena is every bit as selfish as Elijah's for saving his family. Hence, it is neither better or worse than Elijah.
Oh yay, Damon stopped killing innocent people for his twu luv! Shall I congratulate him on managing to contain his psychotic urges because Elena disapproves? OTOH, Elijah did not have those urges, so no he did not make such a grand gesture for his love, blah, blah, blah.
And let's be clear here. When I talk about Damon's selfish behaviour - I refer to him killing innocents whenever the mood strikes. What you refer to as Ellijah's "selfish" behaviour is not helping people who killed you. I marvel at how you can make these comparison without dying of laughter. I know I have a hard time keeping a straight face reading them.
Why do I "yell" at you for comparing Elijah to the Salvatores? Maybe because that's what you have been doing? Like I said ALREADY, unless you can tell me Elena treats Elijah the same way as the Salvatores why exactly do you expect Elijah to treat her like the Salvatores do?
How many times did the Originals try to kill Elena. Probably a lot less than all the times she and the Salvatores attempted and managed to kill the Originals. Your point again?
Why should they trust Elijah? No reason, except when they need to. Which is WHY they do it, Besides, I never argued that Elijah was MORE trustworthy. I said he was as trustworthy as they are which is the truth. He has screwed them over no more than what they have, and they always did it FIRST.
I see you draw the line at Klaus. But Stefan forcing Damon to become a vampire, Damon forcing Stefan to get back on a blood diet again again, them fighting physically and emotionally over the same girl more than once, Damon coming to town specifically just to make Stefan's life miserable that you think it's okay familial behaviour. That makes total sense,
Oh sweetie. At least I don't go around personally attacking people on message boards over fictional characters. Or extrapolating that just because they can understand why familial bonds are stronger than anything else in a FICTIONAL SHOW means they would trust a brother who put a dagger in you in REAL LIFE.
How would you describe Elena? A selfish bitch that got what she deserved? I don't think so. She did nothing to deserve this. She never hurt anyone and she didn't wanted to be dragged into this madness. To me she is a victim. When did the Salvatores tried to safe Katerina? 1864? She controlled them both. Right why helping her? She only controlled and compelled them. Or you mean saving from Klaus? Right again no sense I that. Katerina only looks like Elena and she was gathering informations about Elena, her friends and the brothers for months. Used right she can be a weapon. Why getting her away from Klaus?
Right Elijah is a sweet little butterfly. Just because we don't see him killing every day doesn't mean he doesn't. and true that he is not a slave to his impulses like Damon or Klaus. That is what I like about him. He is calm and under control. Did you get the feeling I hate him? Wrong. He is actually one of my favorite originals.
"How many times did the Originals try to kill Elena. Probably a lot less than all the times she and the Salvatores attempted and managed to kill the Originals. Your point again?" My point? Ever heard of self-defense? Elena and the Salvotores tried to kill originals to protect themselves and others. Klaus wanted to kill Elena (more than once) so he can have his powers back. And to build his army. Becca tried to kill her because she was pissed at her. Esther wanted her dead to prevent Klaus form building his army. Got my point?
You got a point. Elijah screwing them over, they screwed Elijah over, … If they could just once play nice, it could be the base for a whole new relationship. And I believe, that Elena and Elijah would get along. They have this connection. Could be just the fact that Elijah loved Tatia and Katerina.
I agree that is was selfish from Stefan to make Damon become a vampire. Never said it was OK. He didn't want to be alone. That was selfish.
I'm not attacking anyone! I just posted my point of view. You can agree or disagree, you're welcome to tell me your point of view. But I'm not attacking anyone.
"If you're gonna trust someone like Klaus just because you're related to him you got bigger problems than I thought."
Oh, that's not a personal attack? "Implying" I have big problems just because of a discussion over fictional characters.
Also, kudos to you because you have entertained me all day! If the Salvatores try to kill the Originals - plural, that is, not just Klaus - then it's "self-defense". But if Elijah leaves town after the Salvatores and Elena tried to kill him, it's proof of his selfishness and unreliability and blah, blah, blah. MIND BLOWN. Bye!
Don't take it personal. I didn't mean you as you. But everyone. Every person. Every person that trusts someone like Klaus has some serious problems. To trust someone that betrayed, used or killed every person (human, vampire or wolf) he met? You think that is normal?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
That True Blood / Chris Meloni "spoiler" is a prime example of why Kristin has THE WORST spoiler column out there. It's amazing that she has the nerve to try and pass off a photo that has been out since last week (and posted seemingly everywhere) as some kind of scoop.

ReplyDeleteCompletely agree, I went to read the spoliers jsut for the True Blood scoop, and it turns out there was no scoop at all. really, why bother?
ReplyDeletePretty much. She also said Regina was going to sleep with someone on Once Upon a Time and she didn't even get a kiss when the actual scenes came.

But before the ritual they said they'll work together to kill
Klaus. Circumstances changed. Klaus was a hybrid by now and Elijah spend
the last months in a coffin. But they still had the same goal. Kill Klaus.
I just hoped, that they would work together on that one.
Besides: Why are you yelling at me about me comparing the Salvatores to the
originals and compering their motives. How many times did the originals
tried to kill Elena and the Salvatores? And how many times did Klaus betray
his siblings? What about that? Why should the Salvatores trust Elijah? And
the other way around. Why should Elijah trust the brothers? Well, how about
a reason for the originals to trust Klaus? I can think of none. And don't
give me any crab about siblings and family and blood. Blood doesn't always
mean family. And Family doesn't mean you have to be related by blood. If
you're gonna trust someone like Klaus just because you're related to him
you got bigger problems than I thought.
Except, their deal was just Elijah's help since once again for the slow ones - they broke the previous deals! And yes, deals you make before you screw the person over and kill them are null and voided.
ReplyDeleteOh really.
ReplyDeleteWhen did the Salvatores tried to safe Katerina?
Esther wanted her dead to prevent Klaus form building his
army. Got my point?
You got a point. Elijah screwing them over, they screwed Elijah over, … If
they could just once play nice, it could be the base for a whole new
relationship. And I believe, that Elena and Elijah would get along. They
have this connection. Could be just the fact that Elijah loved Tatia and
Katerina.
I agree that is was selfish from Stefan to make Damon become a vampire.
Never said it was OK. He didn't want to be alone. That was selfish.
I'm not attacking anyone! I just posted my point of view. You can agree or
disagree, you're welcome to tell me your point of view. But I'm not
attacking anyone.
"If you're gonna trust someone like Klaus just because you're related to him you got bigger problems than I thought."
ReplyDeleteOh, that's not a personal attack?
