    I have not watched this and have avoided most trailers for the last week or so to avoid finale spoilers.... Is this new?

     Yes, it's new.  It's an extended version of the original trailer that includes a lot of footage and some dialogue from part 2 of the finale.

    guys, had they announced that Nimoy would return? It was a complete surprise to me... I am glad it was, but at the same time I could not fathom how they could have kept it under wraps?

     Right! I couldn't believe it either! What surprised me was just how many people asked that question and they never wavered,not once,no one knew till last Friday night while watching. I think that was one of the biggest secrets kept in Hollywood in a long long time! They had to know about this since March when they were at WonderCon,before they knew they were picked up..I don't know how they kept the cat from getting out of the bag??

    yes. I liked that they kept it under wraps, it was a really pleasant surprise for me. I can understand it. If I remember correctly, Nimoy was in 2 scenes only, and both were shot indoors, without many actors in the scene (the first was just 2, the second one was 3).
