I'm not really a fan of Pelant as a "big bad." I preferred the Gravedigger and Broadsky much more. I'm kind of hoping Max just shoots him, even though I know it's not going to happen.
Actually, I'm glad we had a lighter season this time after the trauma of Season 6, and the trauma we're likely to feel after this last episode. I'll need my "warm blankie" episodes to comfort myself with till next season starts and we resolve this scary stuff. And I LOVED this season. It was delightful, a real change of pace. Still blood and ookie corpses, but lots of fun and growth in the characters. I frankly don't get it. Last season the misanthropes hated Bones and felt she'd become less lifelike. Now that she's behaving like a real person in a relationship, with a baby to love, ya' don't like this one. Can't please everyone, and I'm glad they pleased me immensely this season!
I like this one much better. Brodsky was underdeveloped (the same actor was a much better as villain in 24), and Gravedigger's identity was a big disappointment. This one reminds me a bit of the new BBC Moriarty. I'll reserve my judgement for after the episode, but I can't wait to find out how it all plays out. And, to be frank, I always love when something bad happens to some of the main characters, because it shakes things up. Neither of them is real, so I couldn't care less about them not getting hurt
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I'm getting more and more terrified for this finale.
ReplyDeleteFinally some drama and less comedy! The cases in this season are awful.

ReplyDeleteAhhhh this is going to be crazy! I can't believe the season's over... all the moving around and delayed start really messed with us.
