One of the show producer said, after the ''Get dick'' thing came out, that the finale didn't have a name yet, so it was just a working title and not the official one :)
Ahh. Kinda makes me wonder who comes up with these names. Whoever sat in the meeting room and came up with "Get Dick" must've laughed their ass off when it got chosen as the working title :P
I knew that "Get Dick" would never make it past the sensors - they're pushing it with the Dick jokes and naming their villain Dick Roman, a name like "Get Dick" I knew wouldn't make it.
I don't really care about the name of the episode. I just really want to know who is writing it. I'm hoping for Eric Kripke, but it will probably be Sera Gamble. It seems weird not having a finale written by Eric.
I don't think Kripke will be writing episode anymore unfortunately. I doubt he's even that involved in the show anymore. But everything Sera Gamble wrote this season was great.
'Get Dick' amused me. There's not been enough play on the word 'Dick' this season for my liking -- I just expected all the characters to roll around in fits of giggles every time he mentioned his name.
To be honest, "Survival of The Fittest" Sounds more accurate to say the least, and it has a nice ring to it considering that the Leviathans are at the moment "top of the food chain."
I agree. And it will be equally "weird" if Sera G doesn't write the "penultimate" episode, 7.22, and I don't think the writer of 7.22 has been released either. We know that Guy Bee is directing 7.22 and Robert Singer is directing the season finale so I doubt he'd have time to write 7.22 and SG write 7.23. With Jeremy Carver back as showrunner for the unconfirmed S8 it's *possible* that he may write 7.22. Assuming SG's is writing 7.23 and not EK, if 7.22's not *surprise* written by J Carver (R Singer might not have time write 7.22 - nor has there been any hint/tweet that he's writing it) my best guess is the Dabb/Lolfin will write 7.22, as the last episode they wrote was 7.14.
I agree, I have loved or at "worst" liked all the episodes she's written, something I can't say for any other writer, not even EK, BE or JC - they have all written several un-watchable or rarely re-watched duds IMO. T
hat being said, I'm glad The CW and SPN brought back Jeremy Carver, rather than going totally outside the SPN "family" (that's assuming Ben Edlund was not interested). "Mystery Spot" "Changing Channels" and AVSC are in my "Top 25" SPN episodes with MS definitely in my "Top 5". I really like Being Human, too.

NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
oh, gee, Get Dick didn't survive. BIG SURPRISE THERE. *cracking up*
ReplyDeleteDang....a television forum beat you guys to the punch two weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I kinda wished they had kept the title.
ReplyDeleteBalls! 'Get Dick' is way better!
ReplyDeleteI guess this means the producers went soft on their dick joke.
ReplyDeleteIMDB had it changed for awhile. didn't think Get Dick would be the final one myself. :P
ReplyDeleteThe new title definitely sounds much cleaner lol
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if that was gonna happen or not. "Get Dick" is something I'd expect an episode of Two and a Half Men to be called, not Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteOne of the show producer said, after the ''Get dick'' thing came out, that the finale didn't have a name yet, so it was just a working title and not the official one :)
ReplyDeleteYeah coz that doesnt sound like a porno at all!
ReplyDeleteGood, seriously how immature can they be with the constant Dick jokes. Once or twice was enough after a while it just gets pitiful.
ReplyDeleteAhh. Kinda makes me wonder who comes up with these names. Whoever sat in the meeting room and came up with "Get Dick" must've laughed their ass off when it got chosen as the working title :P
ReplyDeleteOhh what! But 'Get Dick' was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteStill, awesome change though :)
LOL hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteMuch more ominous. I think it's better for a season finale.
ReplyDeleteIt does...But it's also a reference to a funny Jim Carrey movie.
ReplyDeleteAt first glance, I just saw "Supernatural finale" and I was like, "NOOOOOO, they CANNOT push the finale back!" But this is okay, haha. Much better :)
ReplyDeletethank god its not get dick :D
ReplyDeleteYeah i like this title better i am guessing that there will be some sort of battle. Any news of season 8 pick up?
ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeleteYeah, I expected it to get changed too.
ReplyDeletei dnt like it! it s0und t00 much like "suvival 0f the fitist" yea sh0w ends this seas0n n0 s8! i'd rather it remained "get dick"!
ReplyDeleteI knew that "Get Dick" would never make it past the sensors - they're pushing it with the Dick jokes and naming their villain Dick Roman, a name like "Get Dick" I knew wouldn't make it.
ReplyDeleteSaw this this morning on Jim Michaels' Twitter. Interesting title and poster.
ReplyDeleteI figured that they would get censored so I'm not surprised
ReplyDeleteI don't really care about the name of the episode. I just really want to know who is writing it. I'm hoping for Eric Kripke, but it will probably be Sera Gamble. It seems weird not having a finale written by Eric.
ReplyDeleteShame. The original title was kinda fun and accurate. But the new one is good too, so ok;)
ReplyDeleteI don't think Kripke will be writing episode anymore unfortunately. I doubt he's even that involved in the show anymore.
ReplyDeleteBut everything Sera Gamble wrote this season was great.
Let's face it, that's much classier!

Yeah, so 0's and O's aren't the same thing.
ReplyDeleteAlso, "Get Dick" was atrocious, and "Survival of the Fittest" seems a much more appropriate title.
I called this one a while back... I'm just glad that terrible title will never see the light of day.
ReplyDeleteI like both titles.
ReplyDeleteOh come on, now I want to get dick. Wait... what did I just say??? hahahaha
ReplyDelete'Get Dick' amused me. There's not been enough play on the word 'Dick' this season for my liking -- I just expected all the characters to roll around in fits of giggles every time he mentioned his name.
ReplyDeleteBetter, although I think the other one might have had people who don't watch the series checking it out just for the goof factor.
ReplyDeleteSo..... I see an Impala. Its black and sexy and on the front cover... I think this means we get our Baby back.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitelly an improvement.
ReplyDeleteno i like this title lol cause yeh the other one was funny ,but snp finales are usually dark and this is a dark title
ReplyDeleteUhhh... what?
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, "Survival of The Fittest" Sounds more accurate to say the least, and it has a nice ring to it considering that the Leviathans are at the moment "top of the food chain."
ReplyDeleteWhat was the problem with Get Dick?

nice title change
ReplyDeleteomg. *facepalm*
