----------

-Ratings Breakdown:
Dancing With the Stars led ABC to Tuesday overnight victory, with the live Results Show at a dominant 11.4 rating/18 share at 9 p.m. Comparably, that was right on par with the 11.6/18 one year earlier, and it was the highest rated show of the evening. Dancing With the Stars led into solder skewing crime solver Body of Proof, which won the 10 p.m. hour with a 7.6/13 (opposite a repeat of Unforgettable on CBS). Retention for Body of Proof out of the 9:30 p.m. portion of Dancing With the Stars (11.5/18) was 66 percent. While nothing is a guarantee, chances are ABC will renew Body of Proof for a third season.

Earlier in the evening on ABC was an abridged version of last week’s installment of Dancing With the Stars at a second-place 7.3/12 in the overnights at 8 p.m. (which was just two-tenths of a rating point behind an encore telecast of NCIS on CBS – 7.5/12).

In an all repeat night, the aforementioned encore of NCIS on the Eye net led into NCIS: Los Angeles (#2: 5.9/ 9) and on-the-fence Unforgettable (#2: 4.9/ from 9-11 p.m.

In time period premiere news, a Tuesday 9 p.m. one-hour edition of The Voice on NBC finished third with a 5.7/ 9 in the overnights. Comparably, that outdelivered the second half of The Biggest Loser on the year-ago evening (5.3/ 8 on 4/05/11) by eight percent, with growth out of the 8:30 p.m. portion of The Biggest Loser (4.4/ 7) of 30 percent. One week earlier, the 9-10 p.m. portion of The Biggest Loser averaged a 3.9/ 6 on March 27. Although competing Dancing With the Stars doubled the overnight rating of The Voice, results among adults 18-49 (and other young demos) will certainly be more competitive.

The Voice led into recent entry Fashion Star, which was no star at a last-place 3.1/ 5 at 10 p.m. One year earlier, Parenthood averaged a 3.4/ 6 on 4/05/11. Earlier in the evening on NBC was a one-hour edition of tired The Biggest Loser at a third-place 4.2/ 7 at 8 p.m.

Elsewhere, the final week of Fox’s live action two-hour Tuesday sitcom block did not impress. Sophomore Raising Hope at 8 p.m. opened with a fourth-place 2.8/ 5 at 8 p.m., which was seven percent below the first-half of an encore telecast of Glee on 4/03/11 (3.0/ 5). Next was a repeat of Raising Hope (in place of I Hate My Teenage Daughter) at a fourth-place 2.2/ 3 at 8:30 p.m. New Girl at 9 p.m. perked up to a 3.6/ 6 at 9 p.m. (#4), which will put Fox in a more competitive time period finish among adults 18-49. But surprise returnee Breaking In dipped to a mere 1.9/ 3 (#4) at 9:30 p.m.

On The CW, a repeat of 90210 (#5: 0.5/ 1) led into a 0.9/ 1 (#5) for on-the-fence Ringer at 9 p.m. While Ringer did build by 80 percent in the overnights out of the encore telecast of 90210, a 0.9 is still…well…a 0.9.

  1. Crap. We're probably going to lose Raising Hope, right? I hope not, but I have a bad feeling about it.

    And semi-yay for BoP!

  3. Probably - I have missed 2 episodes in a row now. It's a nice show that can be very funny but not one I've ever really gotten into despite watching every episode apart from the last 2.

  4. A 0.9/1 is pretty much what Gossip Girl got yesterday.

  7. I'm sorry for Ringer. This show doesn't deserve this end! :(

  8. So does this mean that body of proof has a good chance to be renewed?? Or it's already to late???
I stopped watching the show a while ago, but im thinking of rewatching it again :)

  9. Raising Hope :( Damn it

  10. I think that there's a 99.999% chance of Ringer getting cancelled, these ratings are abysmal.

  11. I think New Girl should be in the loser section. I love the show, but this was a series low and considering it once scored about 3.5s in demo, this is awful.

  12.  Yes. And too bad after such a successful string of episodes.

  13. At least Ringer got more viewers " Ringer did build by 80 percent in the overnights out of the encore ". Please dont cancel this show. Too much potential rest in it, it just has to find it. Who knows maybe the second season will be alot better. And if cw picks it up for renewal it would get a lot of buzz. Since no one thinks its going to be picked up, it could surpirse a lot of people when it would and they would watch just to see what happens on the show. Come on CW, take a chance.

  14. Personally I think the CW were daft for putting Ringer up against NCISLA, I mean which show is going to get more viewers? Maybe if they put Ringer on a different day it might help?

  15. I like Raising Hope, I hope we don't lose it. Break in was better last season. To have  Christian Slater  on once a week I will suck it up and watch,

  20. Guys dont give up on Ringer sooooo soon i mean 90210 had terrible ratings from season's1-4 and it's still going .Plus the CW said they like were the story line is heading is that not a good sign?

  21. I am sad for Raising Hope. I feared it would end up like Earl: great at first and losing ratings and a bit of steam along the way. Orla is right, one does not get too invested in the show and that's what holds the viewers after all.

"And semi-yay for BoP!" *smiles* I like BoP too!

  22. I really hope it doesn't come to it.

  23.  Nope we didn't, it was renewed after all. Whew, that was a close one though!  :)

  24. I hadn't realised realized it was an old thread :) I was so focused on OUaT and Castle that I kind of blanked on other news. I had also forgotten that Grimm had been renewed. Thanks for cleareing that out. I just hope that Raising Hope's next season does better.

  25.  Ha! It happens to me too! :P  I hope it does better too,i wasn't thrilled with the finale, but can't please everyone!  :)
