I am still trying to pick my jaw off the floor, especially after next week's preview. GOSH. I hate Catherine so much, she IS an evil bitch, she went totally cuckoo. Seriously? Threatening her own daughter with a gun?! Who does that? Hope that Machado will get there in time to save them all. Hmm...or maybe it'll be the real Siobhan who'll end up being the hero, with her & Henry being finished after tonight's ep? So many questions...I don't know how I'm gonna survive till next Tuesday! Ringer totally needs to get renewed. Or else I'll march myself to the CW headquarters and kick some serious ass.
Great ep with a great finishing twist and the Siob/Bridg near miss was pretty good although it seemed really unlikely that Bridget wouldn't hear Siob skulking away quietly with her in conveniently obscured sight after a split second... but still effective. Loving the new inclusion into giving Machado much more to do than usual. Couple of plot/writing holes that felt really thin: why would Henry's father in law be cordial/invest millions of his own $ into a fund that his son in law pushed him into after he had proof from a private investigator for the past year that his son in law was cheating on his daughter, and it doesn't seem believable that he wouldn't tell his daughter...., and just how did Siobhan know which maid to bribe to "forget that she saw Henry entering Tyler's room" and her name to boot? That was a bit too much. This show is juggling so many plot balls, it's really hard to keep track of what's what. Glad that Machado and Bridget know about how evil a bitch that Catherine is and the FBI have the evidence/will have when they search the hitman's house ( it doesn't look like the wife was destroying any evidence at all) so her time in numbered.
Wow, that was Great... Catherine is really off her rocker, Henry's life is falling apart and seems like his realizing how much poison Sib really is to him. I cant wait for next week this show has gotten better every week.
I think the plot/writing holes you mentioned are things that the writers have planned for the future and maybe misunderstanding (or maybe I misunderstood and they really were writing holes lol).
(1) I think that Arborgast (Henry's father in-law) didn't hire a private investigator until after he got the flash drive from Henry (and started to believe that Henry could have killed someone). So he didn't know about Henry cheating on his daughter until after he invested in Martin/Charles the first time. I think that the writers had him offering to save Martin/Charles at the end because it will end up leading to some way to get back at Siobhan for having an affair with Henry (remember he told Henry he wanted to punish her too).
(2) I don't think it's that far-fetched for Siobhan to have known what time the maid was working and what her name was. She could have bribed a clerk at the police station to get her name and then bribed people at the hotel to find out what shift she was working on. That sort of thing happens in real life all the time.
I was really moved when Juliet told Catherine that all she wanted was a "normal mother." However, I'm concerned that Juliet orchestrated the whole plea to Andrew, "Daddy, can we take her home, can we keep her, please, please Daddy?" and then managed to leave Catherine and Bridg/bhan alone together, after Catherine's long speech about how much she wanted revenge against Siobhan. Naivete on Juliet's part, I guess.
We know that Bridget survives because she's in the next episode, but I wonder how, if she was dosed with all those pills, and then nearly drowned.
Once again we see Bridget being called in by the police, and NOBODY EVER GETS HER FINGERPRINTS. Even when she, as Siobhan, is suspected of bribing a witness? Is that realistic?
What did Gemma know? Memory serves that she resisted investing in Martin/Charles while her husband was all for it.
Machado is way more interesting since his suspension from the FBI.
I'm glad Henry's finally standing on his own two feet. Siobhan's SO manipulative, and she has consistently made things worse for everyone. And wow, Catherine's seriously a psychopath... this was NOT an okay place to end an episode!!!
LOL did not know that, I just assumed he was because they made him. However I am pretty sure they make Stefan and Damon wear eye liner so their eyes are all dark and mysterious =P
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
THIS IS NOT OKAY

ReplyDeleteAwesome episode! Shit went down. Catherine is such a bitch, Juliet shouldn't have given in. Also they put way too much eye liner on Machado.
ReplyDeleteNestor Carbonell wears any eye liner... It's his natural eyes :)
