Anything to do with exploring Tony's past is fantastic and this episode was no exception. Michael Weatherly is incredibly talented and I love when the writers give him the chance to show what an amazing actor he truly is.
Great episode! I loved it so much! Exploring Tony's past was so sad, so painful...I was very moved by the conversation in the elevator between Tony and Jason. I loved the way Tony has somehow mimics the way Gibbs to help him overcome the challenges, to guide him, well...to be his mentor. Now we know finally why he became a cop! And wow at the end, I didn't see it coming!
Didn't really get the point of Tony's storyline. Didn't have anything to do with the case. I always like seeing the compassionate Dizzono, but felt the whole storyline was kind of pointless. We already know what kind of man Tony is. I would have preferred to see Tony do something great in the episode...something related to the actual investigation. Remind us why he is on the team...other than for his ability to tell jokes and order pizza.
Disappointed the case wasn't really solved. In fact I found the case kind of boring.
This episode is beginning (or rather continuing) the storyline which will carry us into the finale. I don't agree with your other comments, but not everyone enjoys every episode.
Any time we get more backstory to a character on NCIS is welcome - they've cleverly sort of just parcelled out bits over the seasons. Finding out how Tony went from Frat Boy to Cop was heart-wrenching, and the episode itself twisty and intreguing.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Whoa at where they ended it! Wasn't expecting that.
ReplyDeleteAnd it was so interesting to find out about Tony's past a little bit more. It was sad that he couldn't save the little girl.
And now I want pizza.
the ending was so unexpected but natural for the direction of this storyline episode and tony story about the boy very deep and painfull
ReplyDeletewas very awkward the order pizza thing
ReplyDeleteIt was your typical NCIS with a very ominous ending! I liked the idea of exploring Tony's past. Tony was a hero and made a difference.
