I'm so glad it's finally out. I almost felt for Lemon there but then she went all "Lemon" in the final bus scene she lost me again. That girl is so tedious... and Lavon can do so much better!!!
I think George handled that quite well, considering.
Poor Wade. I really liked that he actually let it all out. Sure he hasn't "thrown his hat in the ring" but I think that his fears and insecurities that have stopped him from doing so are fairly valid, which is why it was great to actually have him tell Zoe and his brother even though I'm pretty sure Jesse didn't really get it. Also I liked Jesse. I wouldn't mind seeing him again. Not as a love interest for Zoe but for Wade storylines.
All the B-stories werfe quite fun too, Magnolia and Annabeth and Tom (with whom I couldn't stop laughing. He's a great townie!).
This was one of the best episodes of the series, if not THE best. It was well done all around.
- I'm glad that Lemon is starting to let go of her vendetta against Zoe. - Magnolia throws a decent bachelorette party for a 14 year old. - Wade's brother seems like a decent guy, despite Wade's attitude toward him. - I wish the kid who stole those guns was eaten by the bear. - It's time that Zoe start thinking of herself as part of the Bluebell community. You can't be knee-deep in messes like these and not be part of the fabric of the town.
This episode proved to me that Wade is not ready for a mature meaningful relationship with Zoe or anyone for that matter. Over the course of one episode, Wade has shown himself to be petty, childish, jealous, irrational, and mean spirited with a big chip on his shoulder. The guy has some major issues. Also, if he really believes that Zoe dated any of those people because of their jobs or their status then he doesn't really know Zoe.
Wade may have "let it out" as you said but it was completely self-destructive. Wade has too many issues to work out at the moment to pursue anything meaningful with Zoe or anyone.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
About time that came out.
