Dan and Blair were perfection. I loved them so much. They need to be endgame. Genuinly never saw Blair happier than she was with Dan. Dair are funny, smart, pure, simple, love, sexy ;) and real.
What can I say, I am still speechless, Dan and Blair are so awesome, perfect and adorable ! They are so perfect to be true <3 And the chemistry between Penn and Leighton is undeniable <3
Oh my gosh, my favorite part of this episode was Blair and Dorota's girl talk after the bad sex hahaha.. priceless! Regardless of what "team" I'm on, I'm happy for all you Dan/Blair fans haha.. despite how it started, this episode had to put you in your happy place :)
I don't know how I feel about Jack, but if he's not scheming and conniving, it could be good for Chuck to have him in his life. Those Basses are one dysfunctional family, that's for sure. I wonder who he was on the phone with?
And ohhhhh Lola.. "They're my family" - if only she knew how convoluted that really is haha. On that note, I don't think I hated Billy Baldwin too much in this episode. Huh. That's new.
Serena really screwed the pooch in this one. I enjoyed the fact that Nate had a backbone, and did what he thought was best for his business by firing Serena - though I wonder what she's going to do about Gossip Girl? I think maybe she'll take over for a while, which is kind of ironic, since that's who she was trying to take out in the first place.
I'm sure they will eventually haha.. the alcohol was just for strength to face the other, and I'm sure they're not going to assume they need it for the sex to work.
Jack was absolutely hysterical in this episode. Desmond's bored delivery of his lines ("I shouldn't have had sex with Pamela Anderson.") and all around wry demeanor is just pitch perfect in terms of showing his relation to Chuck. They are the creepiest motherfuckers together and they are so desensitized to it, they even kind of love it - and you can't help but love it too. I mean, how gross was the scene with all the sex workers at the beginning of the episode, hanging around like props while two canonically rapey relatives joke about their fucked up dynamic? Stick around, Jack! You make my skin crawl, but in a good way!
I really don't know why Ivy feels the need to stick around and try to impress all these people. You're rich, sweetie. Go live your life somewhere you can enjoy it! The pity party does not endear her to me, and I generally like the girl.
When did Dan and Blair become the comic relief of the show? I... kind of love it. I've said before that PB has the best facial expressions, but LM more than holds her own. The scene where they meet up drunk in the lobby was priceless. Dan's body language - swaying towards her for a kiss, then remembering that might be awkward - and speech showing just how hard he's trying not to look drunk, and Blair's languid, slurry, "Yeah, I'm drunk, so what?" demeanor was hilarious.
Between their antics and Jack and Chuck's scenes, I was thoroughly entertained. Fun episode!
I voted for OK because it was a funny, but not great episode. The whole Ivy/William/Lola drama does SO not wake any interest in me. Especially not since it - yet again - takes away time for the MAIN CHARACTERS (!) aka the NJBC. I wish we'd seen more of Uncle Jack. Or Chuck at all.
Perfect how? I don't know what's there to cheer. Yes, the Dair scenes were fun but I don't see how the whole only-can-have-good-sex-when-drunk storyline is helping their relationship. Also, Blair is still married, sure paparazzi would follow her. So sex in dead-ends in Williamsburg doesn't really make sense.
yay Dair! ugh Serena, William, Lily and Jack go and gtfo! Nate and Rufus ily! and point for Chuck and the little kid!! lmao that was awesome !! XD Ivy and Lola... still don't know what to think...
DanBlain were amazing! Chuck was indiferent (which is odd because I tend to enjoy storylines of his that don't envolve Blair). The rest... Lily and Serena and William (and even Rufus but to a lesser extent, and Carol though she wasn't in the episode) are self righteous, selfish, self involved, self entitiled hypoctites. And I'm sick and tired of them. Seriously Eric and Dan (and probably Lola, but we don't know enough about her and she does seem to be easily swayed) are the only decent people in that family.
How the hell is Lola a credible witness? They have no concrete proof nor did Ivy even actually bribe him. Lola stands to gain from the will being overturn.
They need to hurry up and get rid of Ivy, she is annoying. she has no business in the show after what she did. She should be arrested for fraud. And also the whole Dan & Blair can't have sex without being drunk story won't last for long. This will be a short relationship.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
LOL Chairios voting "awful" Aren't you supposed to boycott the show??
ReplyDeleteAhahah it was perfect!
I hate the way they're treating Ivy. Serena continues to prove that she is completely naive and selfish.

ReplyDeleteYeah, they're trying to 'villain'-ize her when she was only doing the job that Carol paid her to do or did they all forget about that?
ReplyDeleteI am a dair fan and I didnt like it that much because of the getting drunk thing.
ReplyDeleteHopefully dan and blair will make real love without alcohol...

ReplyDeleteSeeing the promo for next week and the synopsis with Serena making her her pet project, she'll probably regret it later on.

Diana is the one who gave the blood. Bet shes the reel mother of chuck or shes his sister somethin like that
ReplyDeleteI love Dan and Blair <3 it was perfect
ReplyDeleteThe only thing i liked was that Lola is finally teaming up with the VDWs to bring down Ivy.

ReplyDeleteI hate the Serena's family after this episode. It's just horrible

ReplyDeleteWell, nothing in Gossip Girl makes sense. This is the same show that had Blair made a pact with God.
ReplyDeleteSuper episode! Well worth the wait :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think you need a poll. It's obvious when 200, 000 tune out this episode was not worth watching.

can Desmond be regular please? I love Chuck and Jack. :))
ReplyDeleteIt's been losing viewers every season (especially Season 3, which saw some of the biggest drops), and it usually does worse in the Spring.
