It was awesome!!! Slaughter was a fun character, I'd love to see him back, especially when Beckett proved she was not going to be intimidated by him.
I loved how Castle is really seeing that Beckett still has his back and he's beginning to rethink his feelings about being hurt. Obviously that is going to last until the finale...
But Beckett was amazing in this episode, she put up with Castle's crap and still was there for him. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
Although i didn't care for Slaughter i did like watching the two of them together, brought back some good memories. All in all i enjoyed it,but not one if my favorites!
The word frustrating has to be on the poll. I mean, WHEN ARE THEY GONNA FINAYLY CONFRONT THERE FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER!!!!?'???? it's really frustrating. On the other hand it was an OK ep. for me.
Yea this was a frustrating episode but I think one good thing come out of it, Castle should know for sure that Beckett has his back and that should lead to that talk I hope anyway.
finally my castle/beckett has become cute again!!! (and i loved the comparasion about stanford and caskett) also loving Ryan&Esposito, and was great having Adam Baldwin, asdfg i love this show.
This episode made it clear - it's the chemistry between Castle and Beckett that makes the show fun. Hopefully, the relationship can move forward already so we can get back the great banter - I really miss it.
liked the ep. Loved the way thy got Castle to move past his hurt feelings. Have love his relationship with Alexis. Kinda makes me wish she were younger when the show started and we wouldn't have to be waiting for her to head to college.
I actually really enjoyed Slaughter - I know he wasn't exactly your conventional cop, but I think they did that on purpose to really highlight the difference between reckless guys like him and ones like Beckett. And I like that he was kind of an ass.. it kept making me smile. Very fun character. And of course, it was fantastic to see Adam and Nathan working together again. I've missed them!
Awesome episode! Perfectly reasonable considering where the Caskett relationship is. The not-so-subtle comparison with Alexis and her initial 'rejection' followed by acceptance. Beckett being advised Castle was pulling away as a protection mechanism.
Good stuff. And the way real relationships go. Real relationships are messy and adults OFTEN act this way. The only thing that drives me nuts are the folks here who keep expecting story book behavior. Of course they are being 'childish'. Anyone who has ever been in a real relationship could honestly admit that's what happens.
They did act like adults. Adults in the real world in a relationship. They get messy and people OFTEN do not deal with things head on. Anything less would be a cop out to story book romances. This one at least is REAL.
Loved it! And yes I'm bias because it was Nathan and Adam together again but it was a great shift in the show. I'm glad it made Rick realise that the way he's been handling his feeling wasn't the healthiest and having Beckett in his life in any form is important to him. And I'm glad that Kate was more active in showing she's got his back and values him. I was however hoping that when she was confronting and being prissy with him he would tell her he knows. But hey! Can't have everything I guess.
High points: - Rick punching Slaughter for checking out Alexis!!! - Espo and Ryan taking advantage of looking things up for Castle.... and being jealous and protective. - Kate realising she waited too long. - Martha/Alexis/Rick stuff. (I do love the home/family life bits)
Very funny, very enjoyable - great episode all around. But I am VERY ready for Castle and Beckett to be back on the same page! Hopefully, this episode took them one step closer...
The last 10 minutes saved the episode - the rest of it was meh. I liked Slaughter but I found Castle slightly pathetic. It got better when he stood up for himself and then realised that, despite his behaviour, Beckett not only had his back but would have risked her career for him. And I loved the badass Beckett scene with the Mexican drug dealer.
It would have been interesting to see Gates in this episode - as former IA, I doubt she'd have taken kindly to Slaughter - but maybe that's why she was left out.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I did not like Ethan Slaughter at all. And can Beckett and Castle talk like actual adults, please? This is driving me crazy.
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting, but I prefer Castle and Beckett working together.
