Wow. Solar Eclipse, Julia road-killed, mann what an awesome episode.
I didn't know that this wasn't the season finale as I went in thinking it was, so when they showed Julia was a ghost, I thought that was the season finale cliffhanger. which would have been pretty good, but still pretty awesome.
Well, I think I need to see my eye doctor cause I was wrong about seeing Henry's betrayal by a mile. Although I will say I saw Suren bailing by a mile, lol. Maybe I have to eat my own words again after the season finale next week, but who knows. The reason for Solar Eclipse's effect seemed a little half baked but that's me.
Poor Josh, he just cant seem to get a break with the ladies.. first Nora walks out on him to embrace her wolf and now Julia dies=/ This was the saddest ep of the season for me even sadder is the finale next week this was an excellent season.
excellent ep! Wasn't expecting the very sad and bittersweet twist with Josh finally coming clean to Julia but too late and inadvertently contributing to her death, but at least she knows and although that might not be any comfort to Josh. Now who knows what the fallout will be for Josh in his hometown that Julia dies after getting back together with him..... Glad that Nick let Zoe down easy and helped Sally out, but sad that he'll be forever stuck in limbo.
I've had mixed feelings about Julia this season, but the actor has sold every scene she's been in and that last scene was absolutely heartbreaking. Just beautifully executed on all fronts.
I really liked the parallel Josh and Sally scenes, with each of them having final moments with their ex-fiances against the background of larger realizations of what their actions and afflictions have meant for the people in their lives. Josh, with the devastating personal costs, Sally once more forced to observe from the sidelines, and both having to now live (or not, as it were) with what they've done.
I was really expecting Sally's storyline to converge more with Aidan's this season, but it was a pleasant surprise to see her arc lining up with Josh's in this episode instead. I've loved how they've drawn closer this year - all of them actually, but especially Sally and Josh.
Aidan... whatever. Unlike Julia, Suren has completely failed to interest me at all this season (perhaps because she so frequently seems bored herself), and the angst of their scenes wasn't even remotely as resonant as what was happening with S and J. I loved A's stuff with Henry, though. And next week will probably deliver some cool vampire politics stuff, I guess. Not that I really care. I do look forward to any scenes A will have with his roommates in the finale.
I can't believe it's already finale time - I'm going to miss this show.
this episode was very beautiful & strong deal with guilt and pain is not easy & moving on more difficult but if we had the power we can make it happen.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Wow did not see Julia dying coming. Though it makes sense, because in the long run I know that wouldn't have worked out.
