Thanks to Cheery and Javi for the heads up.

Entourage stunner Emmanuelle Chriqui is joining The Mentalist as a major new love interest for Simon Baker’s Jane, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The actress has been cast in the recurring role of Loraliei Martins, a mysterious new woman in Jane’s life who may be too good to be true.

Chriqui is set to debut in the CBS drama’s May 17 finale and then return for at least five episodes next season.

    Too good to be true, only bout five episodes... Nope, I don't believe anything until we see something. When Darcy appeared they mentioned "romantic sparks" (again) but uh.. yeah.

    I'm not really fond of Jane getting a love interest, but if he absolutely has to get one, I hope she doesn't traumatize him further...given his past and the extent of his obsession, I know it can't go really smoothly, but I don't want to see him hurt any more than he already is.
    So no, I don't like the "may be too good to be true" part- it hints on her being associated with Red John. Brrrrrrr, don't like it.

    mm  I don't think 8 years of difference is too much.. Emmanuelle looks a little younger than she really is and Simon certainly doesn't look like a 42 years old. And now that we're talking about not looking your age, Robin also doesn't look her age (40)

    As much as I'd love for Jane to actually find someone to share his life with again, I kind of think that she will have something to do with RJ. Just like some others here seem to do.
    Which is too bad for Jane.
    But who knows, maybe we're wrong about it *gg*
