  1. I don't even care what Barney said, I'm glad he and Quinn are fighting. It reminds me of season five era Barney/Robin, and that's a (semi) good thing.

Guh, I need the season finale in my life. I desperately want the Barney/Quinn arc to be over.

  2. Finally, i miss this show. I glad they are back.

  3. Whatever Barney says, it had better be good enough to warrant all the attention its getting in this promo.  There have been enough let-downs this season already.

  4. Pfft. Whatever - this show is just constantly disappointing me lately. I'm sure Quinn and Barney will make up and be all happy by the end of the episode.

  5. Urg, I like Becki Newton and all but she seems to be playing this role too overdramatically. Just that one line in this promo made me roll my eyes. Actually, a lot has made me roll my eyes this season. Especially Barney/Quinn.

Can we just admit the fact that there's a 90% chance that Quinn won't be Barney's wife and be done with this arc? Red herrings are only cool if you LIKE the red herring.

  6. I think we can admit there's a 100% chance Quinn won't be The Bride. Quinn is starting to approach the level of hatred I held for Kevin at this point.

  7.  Agreed, and that pisses me off! :l
Unlike other people, i'm actually starting to feel like Quinn is the bride since she is still around in the Finale, i'm not saying that they will get married though ;)

  8.  Yeah...this reminds me of the kinds of plots they had for Barney when he was dating Nora. Something would happen that might cause a rift between them...but then it's all fine by the end of the episode!

  9. Hahaha oh my gosh, what did he say?  I'm looking forward to it!  Look at Barney, all grown up.. he's got a serious girlfriend, he's in the doghouse... he's becoming a real boy  ;)

  10. That's what I keep thinking - I don't remember reading anything that says that Barney actually MARRIES the girl that's revealed in the finale.  If that's the case, I'm okay with Quinn being the bride as long as they don't go through with it  :)

  11. I don't know about this promo, it might be overhyped what Varney said in this episode, which HIMYM has be guilty of lately...

  12. Pretty sure it was confirmed ages ago that he does get married on the day.

  13.  Actually, there was an interview a long time ago, after he revealed as the Groom, in which the producers reveal Barney *does* get married.

  14. Exactly - they're just recycling the whole Nora storyline but with a different girl to buy time and keep the suspense before the bride reveal.

  15. Oh, thanks - I either missed that or completely forgot it.

  16. Thanks - I either missed that or forgot it.  In that case, I'm NOT okay with Quinn being the bride haha

  17. Maybe that's just Becki Newton.  I haven't seen her in anything besides this and Ugly Betty, but she does seem to be that over-the-top kind of actress.  It is getting on my nerves now, though.

  18. I love Becki Newton she's hilarious but I need my swarkles back, like right now. Like Swarkles could not go through all that for nothing.

  19. Whatever Barney says to Quinn it's probably nothing cause these promos tend to slightly be off and that has been all season.

  20. Remind me, is the wedding at the end of the season, or at the end of the season they are showing wedding that is 'somewhere down the line'?

    ReplyDelete
  21. And I think there's a 100% chance that Robin won't be The Bride.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It's not at the end of this season, Lily isn't pregnant in the flashforwards and this season finale supposedly is about her giving birth. So I'm pretty sure the wedding will take place in the S8 finale.

  23. Finally. these three weeks w/o HIMYM have been really hard.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Thanks..the reason I ask is, could Barney be marrying someone other than Robin or Quinn?

    ReplyDelete
  25.  There is absolutely no chance of Barney marrying someone else. We would have met the other Bride candidate by now if that was the case.

    ReplyDelete
  26.  Um, it's the other way around. There is a 100% chance Robin is The Bride.

    ReplyDelete
  27. He calls her fat, right? I thought the whole flash-forward from season 6 has Lily saying something about how Barney should never call a woman fat.

    ReplyDelete
  28.  That's not this episode, that's one coming up.

    ReplyDelete
  29. What could he possibly say? Anyway, I want new episode! It's been way too long!

    ReplyDelete
  30. No, and I think we can admit there's a 100% chance that Robin is not the Bride and will not be the Bride.

I use exactly same kind of argumention as you - You dislike Quinn and You don't want her to be the bride; well, I dislike Robin and I don't want her to be the bride.

  31. No, I'm looking at the facts here. Let's go over them.

The Wedding Mystery was starting at the beginning of season six. They probably had already decided it was going to be Barney at that point.

They've been building Barney/Robin back up since the end of season six, when Barney was revealed at The Groom. They were a major part of November sweeps.

Becki Newton asked for the role, which sounds like there wasn't originally a Quinn. She has her own pilot in the fall that may or may not get picked up. She's just a guest star. Is she going to be available in a year when it's time for the actual wedding and not just a flash forward?

Am I supposed to believe all this Barney/Robin build up is for nothing? That Barney realizing Robin's his soul mate is going to lead nowhere? No, I'm not buying it.

I'm going off the logical conclusion here. Yes, I hate Quinn, but there is no way she and Barney are marrying.

There might possibly be a proposal/engagement this season, but there's no way they're going to last.

  32.  I'm pretty sure Nora's gone for good.

  33. I'm 99% certain that we wont hear what he said. We will be left wondering, which is typical from this series...
