The debut dates for the new seasons of the HBO series TRUE BLOOD and THE NEWSROOM have been confirmed.
The 12-episode fifth season of TRUE BLOOD will kick off SUNDAY, JUNE 10 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Based on the popular Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris, this Emmy®-nominated hit drama series was created by Alan Ball, creator of HBO’s Emmy®-winning series “Six Feet Under.” The show follows waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and vampire Eric Northman (Alexander SkarsgĂ„rd).
THE NEWSROOM kicks off its ten-episode season SUNDAY, JUNE 24 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT). This new series centers on a cable news anchor (Jeff Daniels), his new executive producer (Emily Mortimer), his newsroom staff (John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel, Olivia Munn) and their boss (Sam Waterston). Together they set out on a patriotic and quixotic mission to do the news well in the face of corporate and commercial obstacles and their own personal relationships. Aaron Sorkin created the series and executive produces along with Scott Rudin and Alan Poul.

Well, that TB description is incomplete...
ReplyDeleteSounds good can't wait for True Blood to start back up
ReplyDeleteIt is so long between seasons on HBO and I love their programming the best.Waiting sucks. True blood is my absolute favorite but Newsroom trailers look interesting as well.
ReplyDeleteHey.....that's really good news. I am so ready to watch my favorite show True Blood on TV again. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteDownload True Blood Online
I can't wait for The Newsroom to start,I have a feeling this will be the show i have been waiting for!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for TB! It's been so long already! :(
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to Newsroom!
ReplyDeleteEach season I get less and less excited for True Blood and each year it gets further away from the books and worse and worse. It still can be a lot of fun, but I wish they would get it back on track and less campy. Killing off half or more of the supporting cast to make it more about Sookie wouldn't be a bad thing either.
Regarding the True Blood paragraph, that was the worst description in a press release I have ever read. It gave me absolutely nothing...
ReplyDeleteIt seems like such an odd pairing! Really looking forward to the Newsroom after seeing the trailer
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Newsroom.
ReplyDeleteI've given up on True Blood.
Not that excited about True Blood, it get worst every year, more cheese and bad writing. Maybe this year will be better but I heard have nothing about it. They sure are keeping thing under wraps.
ReplyDelete"Killing off half or more of the supporting cast to make it more about Sookie wouldn't be a bad thing either." Couldn't agree more. Don't get me wrong I love Lafayette, Sam, Terry, Arlene, etc, etc, but I couldn't care less for their storylines.
ReplyDeleteIt would better if there were less character son they can develop Sookie, Bill, Eric, Pam, Jess and Jason story lines better. Things seems too go very fast because they don't have the time to make those plots evolve in an organic way.
I still like TB and I will always will, but it's true, since season 2 the show has lost a lot of it's charme.
PS: sorry for my english ;)
I can't wait for TB season 5!
ReplyDeleteHopefully with the add of the Authority things will get better.
No need to apologize for you English, it's much better than my Spanish (?)! XD
