Vin Diesel is taking time away from his busy schedule of making sequels, to work on The Ropes an original web series about bouncers. Apparently, no one told Diesel, his production company One Race Films, or Fox Digital Entertainment that enjoyment of Road House is mostly ironic. Variety reports that producers are planning to create 18 seven-minute episode, the first of which Diesel has already written. The plan is to cast unknowns and former bouncers, but Diesel will make an appearance which I’m sure will be in no way jarring.
One Race began developing projects because they want material for Diesel’s 20 million Facebook fans. I’m sure all of those people will want to spend more time with burly gentlemen who tell them that the club is at capacity while simultaneously letting other people cut the line.
