-Ratings Breakdown:
It was ABC versus CBS last night, with dominant the Eye net besting the home of Dancing With the Stars by two percent in the overnights. In the distant No. 3 spot was NBC, followed by Fox and The CW, which aired repeats on the year-ago evening (hence the triple-digit percent increase).
NCIS on CBS led the 8 p.m. hour (and evening) with an 11.5 rating/19 share in the overnights. But ABC perked up to a second-place 8.2/13 care of Dancing With the Stars clips themed “The Story So Far.” Comparably, the Dancing With the Stars special outdelivered regularly scheduled sitcoms Last Man Standing (4.8/ and Cougar Town (3.3/ 5) one week earlier by 102 percent.
ABC moved into the top spot at 9 p.m. care of the first live Dancing With the Stars Results Show of the spring season at an 11.5/18 (which was 14 percent below the 13.3/20 one year earlier). Comparably, the departure of Martina Navratilova beat NCIS: Los Angeles on CBS (#2: 9.3/14) by 24 percent in the overnights.
Lifted by Dancing With the Stars (which could be factored into the 10 p.m. half-hour by one minute or two), Body of Proof on ABC rose to a first-place 7.4/13 at 10 p.m. Comparably, that beat on-the-fence freshman drama Unforgettable on CBS (#2: 6.8/11) by nine percent. One year earlier, Body of Proof debuted with a 9.4/15 on 3/29/11. Given the lack of available time periods, chances of Unforgettable returning are slim.
Over at NBC, week three of reality competition Fashion Star dipped to a very distant third-place 2.8/ 5 in the overnights at 10 p.m., which was 20 percent below one week earlier (three-week overnight track: 3.4/ 6 – 3.5/ 6 – 2.8/ 5). Retention for Fashion Star out of the 9:30 p.m. portion of tired The Biggest Loser (3.9/ 6) was 72 percent. Overall, The Biggest Loser averaged a 3.7/ 6 from 8-10 p.m., which was down by 23 percent from one year earlier (4.7/ 7 on 3/29/11). Here is the half-hour breakdown:
The Biggest Loser (NBC)
8:00 p.m.: 3.6/ 6 (#3)
8:30 p.m.: 3.5/ 6 (#3)
9:00 p.m.: 3.8/ 6 (#3)
9:30 p.m.: 3.9/ 6 (#3)
At this point, The Biggest Loser needs to be trimmed to one hour.
Elsewhere, Fox’s temporarily revamped sitcom Tuesday continues to under-perform care of Raising Hope (#4: 2.8/ 5), a repeat of Raising Hope (#4: 2.0/ 3), which stepped in for yanked I Hate My Teenage Daughter, New Girl (#4: 3.6/ 6) and recent sophomore returnee Breaking In (#4: 1.9/ 3). Although New Girl will resonate among adults 18-49, the absence of Glee as its lead-in continues to negatively impact the freshman comedy. As a reminder, Glee returns to the Tuesday 8 p.m. hour on April 10, leading to New Girl and the return of Raising Hope to 9:30 p.m.
Last, and very least was The CW’s low-rated combination of 90210 (#5: 1.1/ 2) and Ringer (#5: 1.1/ 2), which both should be concluding.

Crap about Raising Hope. And I'm glad BoP got an honorable mention. I really hope both shows are renewed.
ReplyDeleteGreat news for BoP.
ReplyDeleteThis is good news for BoP, but it's still going to be one of the network's lower-rated dramas and is older-skewing, no less. It might squeak it out, but given how ABC has at least 2 dramas doing as well, it'll have a tougher time. (Especially if PP does not totally flop in the new timeslot.)
ReplyDeleteBody of Proof is way up from it's last episode. So Happy for it
ReplyDeleteYay for Body of Proof! Getting honorable mentions is great! I just hope its enough to win it a third season...
ReplyDeletewell this table has some mistakes on it. Raising Hope doesn't air on ABC and at 9pm DWTS had the results show with 15mil. views.
ReplyDeleteDang, everything was down last night.
ReplyDeleteI'm still holding out for RH. Funniest show on TV.
ReplyDeleteI will be devastated if Raising Hope doesn't get renewed,i love this show!
ReplyDeleteI think the show will air next season, not maybe full season. But at least a midseason placement with 13 episodes or what.
ReplyDeleteI hope so,i never laughed this hard in my life!
ReplyDeleteI dont see what Fox gains by canning it. Sure, they might not air it for the fall, but midseason it could work for a last run. At least. It`s not that New Girl is such a heavy hitter nowdays. Only 1-2 millions under New Girl for dear Hope, and that`s not as bad as it might look.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me so happy! Way to go, Body of Proof! Here's to a Season 3! *Crosses fingers* All of you BOP fans can help us campaign here: http://bodyofproof3campaign.wordpress.com/
ReplyDeleteis this ratings good for ringer ?
