    Ok i knew Rebecca/Annie was the Mom the WHOLE TIME!!! How did Sutton find out that was there mom? Or did she know the whole Time??? Im so confused by this whole thing now?!?!? I just cant believe that game changing ending. So how much does Sutton really know? I think ill have to rewatch the whole 1st season to see stuff Sutton drops who knows. But shes awesome covering it up. So was the car thing a fake or something!! Who wouldnt give this show a Season 2!!! WE NEED A SEASON 2!!!!!!!!!! I want to see MORE!!!!

    I totally knew who the mom was the entire time and my mouth still dropped open at the end. I can't believe Sutton knew

    Maybe Sutton confronted Rebecca or something and I think Rebecca is just lying to Sutton to get her to help. Plus I don't think they would reveal the mother so soon, on the other hand, it would be nice if the didn't pack all the reveals in one episode :D

    Damn good episode.
     -  First off, I think we can all agree that Rebecca being the mother wasn't a surprise to anyone.  So, no shocker there.
     - I think the next logical conclusion is that Ted is the twins' biological father, as I have previously surmised.
     - I knew Sutton was working an angle when she was so eager to get Emma to give that locket to Kristen but I didn't think she was in cahoots with Rebecca.  Come to think of it, Sutton set a few things in motion - she also let Thayer find the locket in the last episode and she was waiting at Rebecca's to lead Ethan to the photo.
     - I do NOT like Thayer as a romantic interest for Emma.  Just sayin'.
     - I was a little surprised that Alec was actually being set up.  I thought there was a 50/50 shot that he really did kill Derek.
     - When the hell did Sutton figure out who her mother was?
     - Who killed Derek?  Sutton or Rebecca?
     - This series became a lot darker and more serious in just one episode.


    Theory:
    Sutton and Rebecca seem to be helping each other.  Sutton is helping Rebecca destroy Alec and get Ted back and Rebecca is assisting Sutton in getting Emma out of the way in order to get Ethan back.

    Since Sutton has always seemed to deeply dislike Kristen, I don't think Sutton would have any problems siding with her biological mother in order to reunite her biological mother and father.  I have to imagine the ultimate plan is to get rid of Emma, Kristen, and Laurel and start a new family with just Sutton, Rebecca, and Ted.

    Bring on season 2.

    I think Rebecca is the one that killed Derek. Sutton was with Ethan, remember? I think Thayer and Emma is a good friendship, but not a relationship. It'll never work. They're both rebounding and I think Emma would be a little... dumb for going from Ethan to Thayer when she'll always play second fiddle to Sutton in their eyes.

    And yeah, I figured Rebecca was either Sutton/Emma's mother, or that she had nothing to do with anything and was just a storyline to eat up time, much like the Justin/Laurel storyline was.

    Sutton was with Ethan before Derek was killed and we know Alec showed up after Sutton and Ethan left.  If Derek was killed after Alec left, it's possible Sutton could have had time to go back afterward and eliminate Derek.  Maybe Rebecca was lurking around and got the photo of Alec and then Sutton came back to kill Derek and finish Alec's frame-up.  Either that or Rebecca took the photo and then stayed after Alec left to finish Derek off herself.

    I merrily watched this ep...and just as we watch Rebecca's shoes walk into the room where Sutton is watching the wedding my recording ended!!!!!!   Thank goodness the ep was up on ABCFamily's website when this happened. :-D

    I'm thrilled that we got confirmation that Rebecca is the twins mother before the end of the season.  I'm going to hang on to the idea that Rebecca and Sutton's plans were focused on revenge against Ted and Alec and not Emma.  While I can believe that Sutton's jealously of Emma is epic and would allow her to break up Emma and Ethan I really hope that Rebecca doesn't hate both of her daughters. 

    I honestly thought, for the entire scene, that Emma was pretending to be Sutton when she dropped by to throw herself at Ethan when he was working on his bike.  (Note:  Emma when you're in your late 20s you will understand what it says about Ethan's character that he told your the truth about he and Sutton BEFORE you had sex.  :-D )

    Loved Rebecca's accidental slip about her affair with Ted.  That's was beautiful!

    Great finale.  Now.  Isn't one of the other ABCFamily soaps ending for good this season?  American Teenager?   For some reason I'm not too worried about this show getting a second season.

    My theory has always been that Ted is the girls biological father.  

    Sutton dumped Thayer so hard after they slept together that I'm not surprised he's attracted to the kinder nicer Sutton (i.e. Emma), but I agree with you.  I do not like them together.  I'm waiting on Sutton to either grow up or get killed off. :-)

    I don't think Sutton killed Derek.  Oh!  I just realized!  Rebecca was telling the truth when she told Emma that photo was faked!  It was a confession.

    I mostly agree with your theory...with a couple of adjustments.  I think Sutton is getting back at both her parents.  When the show started she'd found out that they'd lied (I had always assumed it had to do with the adoption and Emma's existence) and she was very angry with them.  I can easily see her siding with her birth mother against the evil people who stole her away from her (Rebecca.)  Also,  I know Sutton is massively jealous of Emma (everyone likes Emma but it can't possibly have anything to do with the way Sutton treats people.  It's not Sutton's fault. nooo. )  but I have trouble with her doing anything more than teen level evil against Emma.  I don't think Sutton's  in this  plan with Rebecca for anything  but getting back at Ted, Alec, and Kristen.

    I'm not sure about that.  She just help set up Alec for a murder charge.  Sutton seems to be capable of anything.

    I think
    A.)  Rebecca is crazy and
    B.)  She thinks that Sutton is a lot like her, which she probably is.  Rebecca doesn't hate Sutton.  When Rebecca said to Ethan that she thought he and Sutton were destined to be together, I believe she literally meant it about Sutton and not Emma.

    It's not that I don't think she's *capable* per se (although I think that the plan against Alec was Rebecca's not Sutton's.)  I don't think she'd go hard core against her twin.. Telling your sister you slept with her boyfriend is evil...but it's teen evil vs grown up evil.

     We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.  It seems to me that Sutton purposely led Ethan to that photo of Alec on Rebecca's computer so I think, although it may be Rebecca's plan, Sutton is in on it.

    Well, not completely.  I don't think Rebecca is crazy....I think she's got a serious case of revenge.

    I think you're right that Rebecca thinks Sutton is a lot like her.  I also agree that she was telling the truth when she said that to Ethan but I think she meant Emma.  She knows who Sutton and Emma are and, I think, knows that straight arrow Emma deserves a good guy like Ethan and that she hopes they get together because she loves both her daughters.  That's what I was referring to when I said I  hoped that Rebecca doesn't hate her daughters.   Sutton made a couple of serious passes to Ethan and I'm hoping that that wasn't part of Rebecca's plan.

     I think this boils down to the crux of our previous disagreement, which is that I believe Rebecca and Sutton are potentially much worse and much more dangerous than you do.  I think they're both on the same page when it comes to all their scheming and Rebecca's loyalty lies with Sutton and not with Emma all that much.

    Let's both hope that we get a season 2 to figure out who is right.  :)

    I recognize that I am wearing a big ole pair of rose colored glasses and that you're most likely correct.  Your version is better  soap opera than mine. 

    But, until it airs I'm going to hang onto my belief that Rebecca loves BOTH of her daughters...despite identifying with her favorite (Sutton.)

    On this point we're in 100% agreement.    Sutton is in on Rebecca's plan (where it pertains to hurting Alec) and happily working with her.    I don't think Sutton is smart enough to come up with this plan against Alec.   (A few years and more mentoring by Rebecca and definitely.)

    I just  don't think hurting Emma is part of Rebecca's plan.   That's where I think Sutton is working solo.  And I like to hope  that, if Rebecca knew about the Ethan/Emma points she'd try to encourage Sutton to stop.

    I don't think Rebecca is purposely trying to hurt Emma either, but Rebecca and Sutton breaking up the Mercers definitely hurts Emma and Rebecca seems okay with that so it's unclear to me how much or how little Rebecca is considering Emma's feelings in all of this.

    she probably hasn't.  But then again I don't think Rebecca's taken Sutton's feelings into account either.  I happens to be a moot point  here  because Sutton is on board, but , if Sutton were potential collateral damage on one of Rebecca's plans... I'm not sure she would alter her plans to protect Sutton either.

    We can assume one thing: Sutton talked to Rebecca who said she is their mother. Emma didn't talk to their mother, so either Sutton convinced Rebecca not to talk to Emma or else Rebecca doesn't care about the twins at all. 
    I mean, why would Rebecca only love Sutton if she doesn't know Emma at all?
    But then again, I don't believe Rebecca cares about the twins at all, or that she is their mother. She clearly knows the secrets surrounding them, but i don't think she is their mother at all.

    Awesome!!! I knew Rebecca was the mom, but i didnt expect Sutton to know that!!! She just reached a new level of bitch... when i saw rebecca coming in, i thought she'd surprise Sutton or something, didnt see that "hi mom" coming.
