HBO has a new project based on a novel in development – a drama series based on the Brando Skyhorse book The Madonnas of Echo Park. The novel takes place in a Los Angeles neighborhood that has been built by the Latino community but is now facing gentrification as hipsters move in and attempt to make the place their own.
