Lost Girl writer Emily Andras who wrote episodes 1.05 , 1.07, 2.04, 2.09, 2.17 and 2.21 gets the top job for season 3. She will be the new show runner.
No signs of Lost Girl creator Michele Lovretta coming back for season 3. Steve Corchane, the head writer for season 2 who wrote 2.06, 2.08 , 2.13 and 2.20 will also write episodes for season 3.
SpoilerTV
Hopefully season 3 will be more like episode 2.21 and less like... everything else she's ever written.
ReplyDeleteSeriously. 2x21 was great.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed all her episodes except 2.04 who was awful (2.14 beats it for worst episode tho )
ReplyDeleteWell, if we give her the dark to mess with, this might work out well....
ReplyDeleteWonderful news, both really get the show and the voice. But Steve Cocrane wasn't technically the 'head writer' he was the executive story editor, which is a mid-level writer. There were numerous producers/writers in season 2 who 'outranked' him. Please check the CREDITS
ReplyDelete:O How is it posible that a the person that gave us the first night between bo and lauren wont write more for us anymore :'(
ReplyDeleteIt's sad, especially since she created the show. Hopefully she'll still have some input, even if it's not through her writing .
ReplyDeleteNo signs of Michelle Lovretta coming back is worrisome. The first season was so much tighter in terms of consistency and metaphor and vision. But maybe anything is better than this clusterfae of the back half of season 2.
ReplyDeleteI loved all her episodes--Mirror Mirror is still one of my favs, but I love a quipy Kenzi--right up until 2.17, and frankly the writing in 2.21 was nonsensical in places. I feel like she's fallen into the "trying to appease the fandom" camp and it hurts her consistency of characterization.
ReplyDeleteI disliked them all with the exception of 2.21 and 1.07.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Original Skin episode in season 2 that she wrote
ReplyDeleteI agree, I did like 2x04 because it was a creative ep. Though I am not well informed on the particular villain, I sincerely liked the whole schematics of Babiyaga(sp?). I also agree with the statement of 2x21. It seemed squished together; I really enjoy the upcoming "cliff hanger" however, I would love to see more exploration of each story line (even if it meant longer seasons or more seasons). It's a good show I enjoy watching it thoroughly. .... And am TOTALLY waiting on a drunken mermaid episode (feat. heavy amounts of Kenzi) ...just sayin'
ReplyDeleteLoved your statement. Not really used to actual input I'm typically one of the behind the polls fans, but I really appreciate the "trying to appease the fandom crap" understanding. Well put, and I still have faith in this show. Season 3, can't wait!!!!!!!
