"I was watching the show and I thought to myself, 'I would love to play a female version of Barney. And more than that, I would love to play off Neil Patrick Harris,'" she tells TVGuide.com. "I think they'd been toying with the idea of a love interest for Barney, so it was a great coincidence that I went in and pitched myself for it. I told them my dream and I'm so grateful that they didn't think I was totally insane! And a few months later, it all came true and now I'm Quinn."
