I feel like everyone forgot about the incident between Jack and Lily where he tried to rape her. Like yeah, he was high on coke or whatever and it was 3 years ago, but why is he "forgiven"? I mean regardless, it's still an attempted sexual assault. I mean, even Lily is like, "Oh, whatever" about it. I don't understand. I mean, the writers have these characters cross so many moral boundaries, and with consequences yes, but at some point in time they are just automatically forgiven and it's forgotten about and they are suddenly a good person again in the eyes of everyone. There's no consistency.
I still don't understand why they even had her be pregnant in the first place. I mean, in the end it served no narrative purpose. She never even started to show, and there was no grieving process for the loss of it. Complete cop-out of a storyline.
Gossip Girl sucks at serious storylines, they're constantly brushing things over. There's never any real lasting consequences or development of any kind to any of the characters that are constantly regressing. It's just like that pointless Georgina reveal in the overhyped 100th episode crap, she ended up giving it up after a few episodes.
love chuck soooooooooooo much he is the best hoping he will find happiness hoping he will end with blair PS: He is chuck bass, even dair fans must know what that means.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteNot surprised, you can kind of tell ed really doesn't care about this show (and for good reason) and he's pretty much just going through the motions.
