Doctor Who - Steven Moffat: "New spinoff series unlikely"
27 Mar 2012
Doctor WhoDoctor Who's Steven Moffat has claimed that another spinoff from the sci-fi drama is unlikely.
The showrunner announced at last weekend's Doctor Who convention in Cardiff that any such programme is not likely to materialise in the near future.
"I'm not against it. Spinoff shows happen because you think 'That is so good, you should spin it off' - but personally I'm relatively busy," he explained.

Seems like a wise idea, we will be getting plently of Who in the next 18 months with the new series and 50th anniversary celebrations. Spinoffs can work but they shouldn't be forced. Still sad about Elisabeth Sladen's death and the end of the Sarah Jane Adventures.
ReplyDeleteHe is barely giving Who his attention. Sherlock seems to be his baby and Who (Series 7) just wasn't as good as it should have been. It lost it's way halfway through.(I imagine that's when he worked on the second series of Sherlock. But that is just a guess,)
ReplyDeleteI assume you mean Series 6, there's only been one episode of S7 so far, lol. The fans as a whole enjoyed the second half last year, so I don't follow how you have come to these assumptions :)
ReplyDeleteI see him the other day. Pity my mind went completely blank as to Steven's face.
ReplyDeleteWhen i realized like 2 days later i was kicking myself.
