    Castle, that is not the right way to react to this situation. And yay for a Lanie/Kate talk. But I don't think it'd end well if she revealed her feelings, especially after he completely misread the entire situation. Damn you, Castle!

    Maybe not the right way, but definitely the most common way. He's hurt and masking it by being with another woman. It's the oldest heart break coping mechanism in the book.

    I love how Castle is all mad at Beckett and has "given up on their relationship" but he still covers up her eyes so she doesn't look at that other guy XD... Also Lanie is AWESOME

    I hate that 4 years of character development is flushed down the tube! Playboy Rick reappears! Why go through all this build just to place him back in beginning of season 2 shallow and uncaring!

    It is Castle's coping mechanism to forget to think about Beckett. Remember guys that he thinks that she doesn't care for him... at all! Or even worse - that she's embarassed of his feelings. Sooo... he is doing something to try to change his focus from her - just because it will hurt him less. He's not showing off his new conquest... he is protecting himself form getting hurt more, because he don't now about her feelings.

    What i really hope for next episode is more and more drama... Yeah! As usuall there will be interesting case to solve... Kate will be thinking things through and seeking advice for a friend (most anticipated The Girl Talk)... Castle's date will propably be nice, but he will be recultant to "seal the deal" because he will be still thinking about Kate... :) And so on, and so on... :) The will be some more misunderstandings and some "dance" between Caskett --- Oh... the dance will be te best part of it. I hope that this harsh dram will continue for another 1 or 2 episodes which will allow our favourite couple to sort out everything..... and after that - ther is going to be some explosive reveal of secrets! Yep... that's going to be EPIC! :)))

    As for the finale I think there will be some of "semi-estahblished" Caskett with the hint of Beckett's mom case... or maybe --- I really hope for it --- some 3XK action right before screen fade out :)))
    My hopes are for... Castle getting shoot (but sadly I think it is to obvious) or get kidnapped.... maybe Alexis will be kidnapped or Martha by 3XK??? Who knows! :)

    I only know one thing... Summer without my favourite TV series is going to be nightmare :)))

    This is so crazy, I waited the whole week for '47 Seconds' (and don't missunderstand me, it was awesome), and now the waiting just starts all over again with 'The Limey' - kinda frustrating :DD

    And from what I've heard in the interviews, the waiting isn't gonna stop next week...

    Yeah, but hasn't Rick already done this? I mean, how many times did Beckett turn him down the first couple of seasons?? But he's also done the quiet drift away thing too....

    I'm expecting a 'but we can still be friends' line before the season finale :P

    Even though I agree with most of the posters decrying the re-emergence of Reckless Rick I just pray that next week is a bit lighter, I really don't think I'll be done processing this new tack. A few sighs over accents, a few eyebrow lifts, and a few excellent Lanie-isms will be the best medicine.

    To be honest I think Castle is acting like a stroppy little girl. It's not as though he has actually outright told her how he feels. ERGGHH. I don't know, I get that he's hurt and all but I think he's being childish. Still super excited for next week!!

    22 as far as I know. The 22th one will be the 'zombie' episode, what that means for the finale is anyone's guess.

     Actually, he did ouright tell her how he felt. You can't get more outright than saying "I love you". After living practically like a monk for about a year, he learns that she pretended not to remember  his confession so I don't blame him one bit for how he deals with pain, humiliation and failed expectations.

    Oh Kate - you are going to have so much fun with the Limey.   That Scotland yard detective is scrumptious, and with that peek behind Castle's hand you know it gal.   Got an eyeful of Detective Hunt in all his glory, rippling muscles and all lol.   Castle back to his bimbo days, and flaunting it before Kate just to get her attention - SAD writers just plain sad!   I hear the Limey actor is a recurring actor on Castle, oh I do hope so.    Kate had settled on Rick, but now I think he just cooked his goose with his reversion back to the 11 year old on a sugar rush collecting bimbo candy.

    Aargh - I hope Castle's reaction doesn't drive even more of a wedge between them. It looks like seeing him with another woman could spur Beckett on but it could easily have the opposite effect.

    I disagree...he hasn't told her outright. He told her when she had been shot - a situation where she couldn't exactly respond. While Kate hasn't been honest either, she has no idea that Castle saying I love you wasn't just a knee-jerk reaction to her being shot. They both need to talk honestly, on even terms without any crazy things happening around them.

    She could have responded after the shooting. She had months for that. She was perfectly aware of his intentions and she purposefully stopped him, first in the hospital and then after the book signing. She knows that it wasn't a knee-jerk reaction because Castle has been proving his devotion to her for months.

    The way the secret came out was clever, but the reaction thing is way immature.  Very Andrew Marlowe!  Yeah he's hurt I full understand that, having had that happen to me a few times, but no way should he act like an idiot...... I bet the lunch special was great......sheesh! kick him out!
