30 Rock - New live episode coming up + ratings of season 6

And live from New York it's 30 Rooooock !

Ausiello reports that Alec Baldwin slipped into an interview for Extra that there will be a new live episode of 30 Rock on April 26, 2012. Tina Fey and the whole crew will perform episode 6.19 live twice, for both the East and West Coasts. The first live show (episode 5.04, Live Show) was done on October 14, 2010. Amazing news :).

Plus, the good news for NBC is that The Big Bang Theory will be on repeat on April 12 and April 19 (before returning for the final three episodes of season 5 on April 26, May 3 and finally episode 5.24 on May 10). It won't directly impact 30 Rock (TBBT is Community's long-time nemesis at 8pm) but its competitor will be weakened by that absence.

Its 8:30pm competitor is Rules of Engagement, coming out of a 3-month hiatus on March 29 (it reminds me of another comedy, but for Rules of Engagement it's just normal programming) with original episodes until May 17. Although we know TBBT repeats do very well as well (the humour on that show is so subtle that people feel the need to watch the episodes again not to miss anything, I guess). The live episode has to be done for the May sweeps and CBS wouldn't miss that period to put origi-- new episodes of TBBT on the air.

The season 5 live episode did extremely well (6.70 million viewers / 3.1% of the 18-49 demo on October 14, 2010 at 8:30pm after Community, + 1.8 million viewers / + 1.0 of the 18-49 demo over week). So it's quite likely 30 Rock will get its best ratings of the season in a month.

Speaking of ratings, while I'm making a 30 Rock thread, why not throw in a few numbers ? Here are the ratings of season 6 (January 12, 2012 - May 17, 2012) so far :
