    oh poor stefan.  It looks like a good episode.  I really wish they would kill off klaus.

    i loved him as a villian but as a regular that they are trying to integrate into the town and the characters lives I dont really like him.  I really dont want him to have a romance with caroline.  I mean he killed jenna, and ruined stefan,  used elena as a blood bag for his hybrids. and almost killed damon. do people forget that or do they just love the horribleness.  I never understand.  but thanks for your opinion. i like to discuss.

    Damon did some nasty stuff too and everybody's fine with him
    -Manipulated and abused Caroline
    -Turned Vicki (witch eventually resulted in her death)
    -Tried to kill Tyler (how many times?)
    -Tried to kill Caroline
    -Tried to kill Bonnie
    -Killed Jeremy (just because he came back to life doesn't change anything)
    -Killed Alaric
    -Killed Lexy
    -He has killed the most characters in the series, 25 (just a fun fact)
    Not that I don't like Damon, it's just surprising that he has friends in that town.

    thats true. and now stefan is almost as bad. but i am a stefan fan so i look at it from that perspective. for that klaus is irredeemable.

    The devil is in the details.

    Klaus is not a redeemable character, Damon is and was. This story has to end with his death, but I'm in no rush to get to that destination.

    Indeed. And if you look into the details, you'll find that Damon has done far many and far worse things than Klaus. 

    Therefore, Damon is a "redeemable character" because the writers decided that and decided to write him that way. The same can be done for Klaus. And is being done. 

    First with his sob story i.e. daddy dearest never loved him because he was his wife's bastard child. (What does that remind you of?  Hint: Damon's daddy issues.) Second, all Klaus really wants is to be loved. By his family. By his BFF/boyfriend, Stefan. By ~insert romantic love~ i.e. Caroline. (Remind you of Damon and his Stefan/Katherine/Elena issues?) And finally, watch it be revealed that original Petrova was his big love or whatever and he got burnt by love. More sob story = redemption. Worked for Damon. It'll work for Klaus.

    And exactly because of these reasons, I think Klaus is the WORST villain ever. He's not believable as a big villain. He's not even interested in killing Elena! He's a big crybaby who throw tantrums whenever he doesn't get his way. He's beaten again and again by Salvatores/witches/Katherine/etc. He's overshadowed by Bad!Stefan and he wasn't even that scary to begin with. Does anyone honestly find him frightening? I find him hilarious and entertaining, but he brings absolutely zero element of suspense.

    I'm with you - I've liked him more and more as the season's gone on, and I hope he sticks around for a while.  He keeps things interesting!

    Oh, Klaus.  You realize saying something like "I can't be killed" just increases the chances that you will be killed.
