Update: 27th July 2012 We've finally gotten around to updating the screenshots :)

We've some initial feedback from our Poll about Badgeville, it seems some people are either unaware of the Badge System or don't know how to use it. This little document should help you get started.

    Its been almost 10 months since my last Fringe Fan badge currently on level 6, in fact its a whole season of commenting on fringe without going further!!!! last awarded level 6, sept 2011

    With all of the changes to disqus, the site and badgeville I'm wondering if there will be an update to the help pages for these elements. One of the things that disappeared awhile ago is a way to see if you're anywhere close to getting the next badge or reward. My first thought was that, after all of the 'Thanks' messages this information was removed because, possibly, some people started posting low content messages just for the points so I didn't say anything. But it's making me nuts that I don't know if I'm anywhere close to earning, for example, another Supernatural badge.


    Also, out of curiosity, will any of the shows going into their second season have badges designed? Are you guys still considering that? Is it based on traffic for a show or strength of a show?


    And while I'm asking all these questions please allow me to take a moment to thank you and your staff for all the work. I'm never going to be in the majors, when it comes to earning points or anything, but I love to dissertate on my favorite shows and you've created a fun, pleasant environment for so many TV fans like me to ramble on and on. My friends and family, who were getting sick of politely smiling while I rambled, thank you also.

    I'll see if I can answer some of them :)


    1) Updating the Help Pages is on my very long todo list :) I hope to get it done before the new TV season starts in Sept.


    2) If you Click on the Start and then click on your Username, you can then click on your Profile which should show your Badges and rankings in more detail


    3) We might look at some more come the new season. We're still evaluating if we will continue with Badgeville. It costs me a lot of money personally for their services. I'll be checking out other products/costs and ideas over the next few months.

    Thanks, but just to clarify number 2. I used to be able to, for example with the levels, see, for example, that to get a level 4 badge required 100 points. I know think I ever knew how many points it too to get the next level Supernatural Badge, for example. That's the info I'm curious about.

    How many points does one have to get on a certain show before the first badge of the show appears? I used to be on high lvls on plenty of show badges and then I guess they reset. but now I can't seem to get any show badges. I've been trying but I'm still on level 0. The points are added but no badge will come up.Is this normal?

    Has the bug for earning Twitter points been fixed? I just like the twitter button on the new poll question and saw no points, i left a comment on the same post and received no points :(

    No, twitter still don't support it I'm afraid.

    If you look at the above screenshots it will show you what is currently awarded etc

    As for the comments, they certainly should work.

    Can you let me know what browser and version you are using?

    in fairness iam on my sister's computer so this is not the standard computer i use, but on my home computer i noticed the same issues and I use Mozilla

    I was thinking just the other day that we could use some more TV badges. 4 of the shows in the STV Badgeville program have either ended (House, Chuck) or will be ending soon (Gossip Girl, Fringe). There aren't many opportunities to collect a show's badges once the show has ended.

    I didn't know the Badgeville application was so cost prohibitive. If it's too much of a pain, I wouldn't fuss if you decided to scrap it. I'm sure there's something else you could replace it with.

    is it possible then to get any of the "Increase Social Activity" badges then without twitter? I'm already level 6 and 7 on both the google + and facebook badges, but still have yet to unlock the social activity badges.

    Not currently I'm afraid. We need to find some time, unfortunately there are only 24hrs in the day and I'm already spending 28hrs a day on the site :)

    Why aren't any show points updating, I keep up-to-date with Caste, Fringe, OuAT, ect but the only points I get is when I open the main page (1 point for visiting the site daiy)... :-( am i doing something wrong?

    I was wondering if we are still suppose to be getting 5 points when viewing a video? I haven't received points for that in months,it doesn't bother me just curious.
