Hey Being Human (US) fans! I got the chance to listen in on a conference call with the 3 stars of the Americanized Being Human! Each of the actors were funny, and gave great, if purposefully vague, scoop on the new season of Being Human! Also, it's easy to see how much of their personalities in real life spill into their characters! There were plenty of left-turn random tangents (Mr. Huntington accused Meaghan Rath of being an "odd duck") and a few great in-depth comments that sort've painted a picture of what we should expect this season. However, I will utilize some discretion because there are some rather awesome, if WTF-worthy moments coming up this season! (I will post a few excerpts from the transcript later if I have the time, but I wanted to really get the main points out for you, and trim the fat!)
**Please note that I have not been keeping up with spoilers on season 2 so I must apologize if this information was already known to you guys! I don't want to give too much away!
- It was mentioned more than once that this season will mark where the story really veers off into another direction from the UK version. I also wanted to include that all 3 of the cast members (after season 1) have gone and watched the UK series and are huge fans of the show, and it was discussed that they love it for what it is, and they love their show for what it is, and that the difference of cultures makes a pretty big difference and meant to them that people can and should enjoy both versions of Being Human!
-This season is going to be A LOT darker. There's a large event that they alluded to somewhere in the mid-to-late season that was claimed to be utterly shocking and unbelievably dark.
-The 3 characters will be going their own ways this season in a sense: Each has their own journey, which ties into the theme of the season: "Temptation is a beast." For Sally, she will be exploring the world as a ghost more, and she'll acquire new friends and...abilities that will tempt her to embrace a darker side of herself. Josh has a really important mission for himself and his pregnant girlfriend, and Aiden will be placed in a situation that will inherently bring him to re-acquiant himself with a slew of his older tendencies. Tendencies that he's long tried to keep buried.
-Over the course of the season we will see how these paths will bring a conflict into the house, and the 3 friends may end up at odds with each other.
-Sam Witwer said that he was amazed with what they were able to get away with on television this season...
-Mark Pellegrino will be back this season to reprise his role as Bishop - In what capacity was not disclosed.
-Season 2 begins with a bang, and doesn't slow down. They have the characters fleshed out so they don't rely too much on background story, they just dive right into the action for season 2.
