Castle new 3 weeks in a row though! The breaks are needed because most shows only get about 20-24 episodes in a season, the rest of the weeks are either repeats or holiday programming. Usually February, March and April have the biggest breaks and hiatuses of shows. But the good news is that the last 4-6 episodes of the season are shown in a row to build up ratings and storylines for finales airing in mid-May. So no more hiatuses from late-April to mid-May but then we get than 4 month long hiatus for summer.
I keep saying that I like the way the CW airs their shows. Minimal breaks and long chucks of new episodes. All the other US networks are off and on. Annoying indeed.
So true. I am a HUGE TV fan. Watch so much of it. But even someone like me who follows a lot TV news doesn't know what is going to be new on any particular night, as far as the major US networks are concerned. That's a problem imo.
I think so to, I think having like 11 eps in a row in fall then having a couple of months break and then 11 more would be better but I know it's all linked to advertising and sweeps.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I don't think I will ever get used to the random breaks US networks have, so we had 3 new Happy Endings eps in a row, then a 2 week break! Gah!
ReplyDeleteIt's so annoying when they have these breaks....they're so random. They also affect the ratings
ReplyDeleteHate hiatuses so much!
ReplyDeleteAnother break for OuaT after 'What happened to frederick'???
ReplyDeleteUgh!!
The breaks are driving me nuts

ReplyDeleteyeah I can't complain 3 new episodes of Castle in a row.
ReplyDeleteIt's no wonder ratings are always up and down because no one can remember when they are on!
