10:30 p.m.: 15.9/25 (#1)

Earlier in the evening, Football Night in American on NBC fared as follows:

7:00 p.m.: 2.7/ 4 (#4)
7:30 p.m.: 5.4/ 9 (#2)
8:00 p.m.: 9.6/15 (#2)
Over at CBS, granddaddy 60 Minutes (#1: 11.0/18 at 7 p.m.) led into the season-finale of The Amazing Race at an above-average 9.2/14 (#2) at 8 p.m. As a reminder, Undercover Boss opens season three in the Sunday 8 p.m. hour on Jan. 15 in place of The Amazing Race, which will also return at a later time for its next edition. At 9 p.m., older-skewing The Good Wife benefited minus ABC’s Desperate Housewives in the competitive mix with a second-place 8.1/12 in the overnights, followed by long-running CSI: Miami at an also better-than-usual 8.0/13 (#2) at 10 p.m. For more on CSI: Miami, see Cable section.
Elsewhere, ABC took a hit last night minus its regularly scheduled 9-11 p.m. programming with repeat theatrical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at a mere 2.3/ 4 in the overnights. Earlier in the evening on the alphabet net was Sunday 7 p.m. staple America’s Funniest Home Videos (#3: 4.1/ 7), followed by recent entry Once Upon a Time (#3: 6.4/ 9 at 8 p.m.), which earned its full season renewal stripes for growing by a hefty 49 percent out of the 7:30 p.m. portion of AFHV (4.3/ 7).
Fox populated the evening with repeats of Bob’s Burgers (#2: 7.0/11, which could be a partial football overrun) and The Cleveland Show (#4: 2.8/ 4) from 7-8 p.m., followed by the original rotation of The Simpsons (#4: 4.2/ 6), The Cleveland Show (#4: 3.3/ 5), Family Guy (#3: 4.4/ 6) and American Dad (#3: 3.4/ 5) from 8-10 p.m. The animated Fox comedies rely, of course, on the young adult demos.
