HBO has sent out scrolls announcing their Season 1 DVD/BD box set release. It appears they are also attempting to start a feud between Winter-is-Coming and Westeros as they referred to WiC as "honorary members of House Stark" and to Westeros as "honorary members of House Lannister". Okay, I kid, but how awesome is HBO for yet another awesome marketing idea in a long line of awesome promotional materials for Game of Thrones?
This scroll from Varys, the Master of Whisperers, sealed with a lion, reveals that Westeros.org have been named “honorary Lannisters” (appropriately, fellow GoT fansite Winter is Coming are honorary Starks) and so are worthy of receiving some special news. To quote:
In the next few weeks, a raven from King’s Landing will arrive with vital information regarding the first season of Game of Thrones on Blu-Ray and DVD. Please be advised, this privileged communication should only be shared with fellow loyal subjects who have bent the knee and have pledged their fealty.
Consider yourselves fellow, loyal subjects!
The missive ends with a suggestion that as Lannisters, Varys thinks we should remember that we always pay our debts, and gently suggests we send him some coins for this service. Heh.

Westeros thinks the "vital information" may be an online tease similar to The Maester's Path last year. Maybe it will just be another scroll? Either way it is an official decree that the HBO Season 2 marketing season has begun! Good news indeed!
