Cougar Town - Season 3 - Busy Philipps interview

14 Dec 2011

Busy Philipps won’t be waking up Thursday morning with visions of Golden Globe nominations for herself or her fellow Cougar Town cast members dancing in her head. “That’s not going to happen now. No one’s seen the show this season,” says Philipps, lamenting the fact that ABC has not only failed to find a spot for the hilarious ensemble comedy on its 2012 schedule, but also reduced its Season 3 episode order from 22 to 15.

  2. My favorite part of the show! And I know a lot people don't like the Laure/Travis stuff but I find it really sweet. They have a great relationship.

  3. Laurie and Travis would be adorable together!

  4. Their scenes are so fun! I don't get the creepy vibe from them. Laurie is sort of in between Jules and Travis age-wise. Oh and Busy is so freaking phenomenal. It's a shame she gets overlooked at awards time. She truly could not be replaced imo.

  5. Me neither! There's nothing creepy about them at all. I'm pretty sure they're only a few years apart.

  6. Only six years of real age between the actors, but in the show it's more than 10 I'm sure... He plays 18 or 19 and she plays closer to her own age of 32. Ithink the creep factor comes from the fact it's his mom's friend.

I like them together on screen, but I do understand the creep factor...Friends don't date their friend's kids. Ew.

  7. Travis is 19, and I'm pretty sure Laurie's in her late twenties. It's not that creepy.

  9. Like I said.. it's not the age that;s creepy. I have no issue with age differences.. even larger than those two.

I just think it's a lack of boundaries and respect to date a friend's kids.

Obviously it's a show and he is not Courtney's kid, but in real life.... it's just disrespectful.

  11. True, these people sit around all day, drinking wine and playing Penny Can. I'm sure if they were truthful, Jules might be fine with it. Especially if they love each other.

  15. The dude who plays Travis in this needs to be playing a young Dexter. He has the same voice and look. Sorry for the off topic.
