Ratings Breakdown:
It was an easy overnight Monday victory for the home of Dancing With the Stars, ABC, which bested second-place CBS by 56 percent. But the CBS is poised for victory among key adults 18-49. Third overall in the metered markets was Fox, followed by very distant NBC and, of course, The CW.

Two-hours of Dancing With the Stars, which is likely to see Nancy Grace bid adieu tonight, averaged a very healthy 12.8 rating/19 share from 8-10 p.m., with the half-hour breakdown as follows:

Dancing With the Stars (ABC)
8:00 p.m.: 12.2/18 (#1)
8:30 p.m.: 12.8/19 (#1)
9:00 p.m.: 13.2/19 (#1)
9:30 p.m.: 13.0/19 (#1)

Castle on ABC also dominated at 10 p.m., with an 8.0/14 in the overnights. But retention from the 9:30 p.m. portion of Dancing With the Stars was lacking at 62 percent.

To the masses wondering it Ashton Kutcher is still resonating on CBS’ Two and a Half Men, the answer is yes. The Eye net’s entire Monday comedy block, in fact, remains on the year-to-year plus side as follows:

CBS/Monday
8:00 p.m. – How I Met Your Mother: 6.7/10 (#2) – up 15 percent
8:30 p.m. – 2 Broke Girls: 7.3/11 (#2) – up 43 percent from year-ago occupant Rules of Engagement
9:00 p.m. – Two and a Half Men: 9.2/13 (#2) – up 3 percent
9:30 p.m. – Mike & Molly: 7.3/11 (#2) – up 4 percent

Sophomore Hawaii Five-O capped off the evening for CBS with a second-place 6.5/11 at 10 p.m., which was almost identical to the 6.8/11 on the year-ago evening.

Over at Fox, the Monday results remain modest care of Terra Nova (#2: 4.9/ 7 at 8 p.m.) and deteriorating House (#3: 4.9/ 7), which slipped by 26 percent from the 6.6/10 in the Monday 8 p.m. hour on 11/09/10.

In week two news, NBC newsmagazine Rock Center With Brian Williams cannot compete with a very last-place 2.7/ 5 in the overnights at 10 p.m. One week earlier, it opened with a disappointing 3.3/ 5 on Oct. 31, 2011. Failed year-ago occupant Chase also averaged a 3.3/ 5 on 11/09/10.

Earlier in the evening on NBC was failing reality competition The Sing-Off at a mere 2.7/ 4 from 8-10 p.m. Here is the embarrassing half-hour breakdown:

The Sing Off (NBC)
8:00 p.m.: 3.0/ 4 (#4)
8:30 p.m.: 2.7/ 4 (#4)
9:00 p.m.: 2.6/ 4 (#4)
9:30 p.m.: 2.6/ 4 (#4)

Last, and very least, was The CW’s modest combination of Gossip Girl (#5: 1.2/ 2 at 8 p.m.), which has lost any buzz it once had, and recent entry Hart of Dixie, which dropped to a series-low 1.4/ 2 at 9 p.m.
