I love Ed Helms to death, but Andy Bernard not so much. When are they going to realize that they really screwed the pooch when they made him manager? He tries way too hard to impress and be everyone's friend, he sings way too much, and he's always blaring his annoying teeth. Promote Jim, Darryl, or even Oscar I say! And what's up with Robert California? Not only did they give him a terrible name but he's creepy. He's a wonderful actor, don't get me wrong, but he forces himself to talk like he's got a soggy piece of taffy in his mouth.
Wondering how it's going to work. Some of the characters seem to have lost their identity and don't know how to regain it while some have painted themselves into a one-dimensional corner.
Spader's character I still can't get a handle on. In the interview episodes, he was absurdly cocky. Now it seems like he's the boss who has something planned, we just have no clue what it is. There were times when it felt like he was building to something but the punchline fell flat.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Easily the weakest episode this season so far
ReplyDeleteI thought so, too.. I've actually been enjoying this season a lot more than I expected, but tonight's episode was a weak link
ReplyDeleteYeah, just an ok effort tonight.
ReplyDeleteI liked it. Pissed they teased us with Pam going into labor and she didn't actually have the baby, though.

Loving James Spader, hope he's in it for the long haul!
