Very disappointed with the ending. Very Season 3-kind of Jane. When asked to @mentalistwriter about it on Twitter, she said "he has his reasons. And we will know about them throughout the season". More mystery!
In all honestly, my least favourite episode of the season :(
I agree, though I had expected it would be at least just a tad disappointing after the thrill of the previous episode. "Pink Tops" came and went without fireworks. :/ And they only teased us with mentioning of Red John in passing.
The intrigue was a bit on the boring side, kind of like in the episode with the murder on an island earlier this season. And I didn't buy at all that storyline with the prostitute. But maybe I just can't connect with a character like this. ;)
There were elements of this episode that were good but, as a whole, the episode was mediocre. - Jane & Lisbon's banter was quite good. - Jane getting under the skin of the various undercover unit personnel was fun. - Cho and his new CI, played by Samaire Armstrong, was entertaining and refreshingly different. - The idea of the story was interesting but poorly executed. - The actor who played the husband of the victim wasn't very good. - The scene at the end with the drug dealer, the female UC, and Jane was terrible.
The season started with some really weak episodes... So, either I have subconsciously lowered the standard at which I hold the show or the show is getting really better cuz I just loved the last 2 episodes... They were awesome....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
