It's week seven, with three more weeks of performances to come, I am chiming in now, even if I can't vote in Canada. HALLOWEEN WEEK was a night full of tricks, as well as delivering one of the best themed shows I have ever seen. Despite all the 'reality' happening on and off screen, this is still very much a competition. With the round of scores tonight, anyone can still come out on top.
Magician David and Kim's cha-cha to Abracadabra - Len thought he turned himself into a dancer, but still need a bit of rhythm. Carrie Ann said the dance was more polished, but still need little bit more on hold, earning him 24.
J.R. and Karina's tango to Ghostbusters - Bruno thought it was not very solid, the timing was hard with the song and Len said it was substandard and didn't have none of the heel leads he was looking for. That got him 25.
Nancy and Devil Tristan's jive - Carrie Ann said she lost the choreography a couple of times, while Len said that it was not a good dance for her. With 21, she earned the lowest combined score of the night.
For Rob and Cheryl's tango to Addams Family, we got to see Rob channel his inner Gomez. - Len thought it he had good footwork. Bruno told him to keep his butt in frame. Carrie Ann said it was his best dance so far. Judges scores: 25, not the 10s Rob was hoping to scare up.
Red Riding Hood Ricki and Derek's paso doble - It was unanimous, despite dancing with an injury that cause her shoulders to tense up, she had good shapes. The judges gave her all 9s.
Hope and WereMaksim's samba - Carrie Ann said her ease of motion was beautiful to see. Len thought it done well with a difficult dance. That translated to better scores: 24. She benefited from Maks's foot injury and an extra pro to work with.
THE TEAM DANCE
Team paso doble defeated team tango, whose individual routines Len said was a disaster.
If Ricki Lake could hold out for three more weeks dancing with that inflamed rib, she is my favourite to win this. Both Rob Kardashian and Hope Solo has a chance at the finals. It remains to be seen who has a bigger fan base. I have a feeling David Arquette will go home this week.
