^^; I don't like like the editing either...and the little music doesn't help, but in a lot a show they rarely use the same soundtrack for the sneak peek and the episode
Yeah I have to agree with you too about the camera movements. I think that they're trying to recreate the feeling of what's going on in her head, but it just feels too disjointed. It doesn't feel emotional, it reminds me of what I feel like when I get a really bad migraine.
Great! I actually thought the editing was great, it added just that extra something. I did think this scene would be more intense tho. Still loved it. Poor Kate.
Yes, haha. Blood dripping on the floor, blood on her arm... we get it... it is serious...
And did they really have to have that close up of her bleeding arm? They really want to show us "see... she is so freaked out that she cut herself and isn't even FEELING it. It is a serious condition, dear viewer". It is one of the very few times that I felt taken for stupid while watching Castle. They usually aren't that obvious in their hints.
Yes, disjointed is a nice word to describe it. They failed miserably recreating what she is supposed to be feeling.
And I also liked the beginning of the clip... it really focuses on the great acting by Nathan and Stana. The painful look he gives her is very touching.
They did that intentionally,it was the only way to convey without words what she was going through.Otherwise you would of seen Beckett have a drink, walk to window, fall on floor, you never would have been able to experience(as much as a viewer could) what Beckett was experiencing at that moment...:)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWow,this is going to be a very intense episode.PTSD is bad enough, add liquor to the mix and watch out anything could happen.
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for Beckett, but also for Castle and his imense guilt.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to be picky, but I didn't like the editing in the PTSD-moment. I don't know why, but I didn't like it.
Can't wait... :D
ReplyDeletethis is going to be intense.. thanks a lot!

ReplyDeletePoor Beckett. Looks like another great performance from Stana Katic.

ReplyDeleteThe music is so crappy I can't even find words to make fun of it. I do hope it is only the sneak peek music.
