Thanks to Harris for the heads up.

Syfy is developing a TV series based on this year’s MRC/Universal Pictures movie The Adjustment Bureau, which was written, directed and produced by George Nolfi and starred Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. Former Smallville executive producers Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin are writing the TV adaptation, which is being produced by MRC. Nolfi is executive producing with Swimmer and Slavkin, with Michael Hackett, a producer on the feature, serving as co-executive producer.

  1. It seems that they are trying to find a decent Eureka replacement?

  2. A TV series based a movie based on a book! Will the networks ever try new ideas?

  3. I'm starting my rave off by saying I have never seen more of The Adjustement Bureau that the trailer, I have read the book its based on though ('Adjustment Team' - Phillip K. Dick).
Anyway, HOLY MOTHER OF GOD YEEESS, this sounds amazing, I know it may not be original, or may not be new or whatever, but remember some of the greatest series of this time aren't original either; Dexter was based on a book series, Battlestar Galactica was a re-imagining. So, I have a major love hate relationship with Syfy, theoretically, I would love it, I mean it's a channel devoted to SciFi! How do you get more awesome than that? My love kind of ended with the cancellation of Caprica, not because it was cancelled (which I was sad about), but mainly because after looking at everything else on the network, I was disappointed, I mean there was no other serious drama to look at, Warehouse 13 made me want to cry, I really, really, really didn't like it, then Haven came around, which once again, I like but, it's not amazing, and now, Being Human which is meh, at best. But finally, we have a chance to get good drama, proper drama, I'm so excited about this, and there isn't even a script deal, but please please please get picked up.
    Okay, rave over :)
