Supernatural - Episode 7.08 - Season 7, Time for a Wedding - One of the boys headed to the altar!

There’s gotta be a twist. Oh, you know there’s a twist. But until we know exactly what it is, let’s enjoy the awesomeness of this news: One of the Winchester brothers is getting married…sort of!

Executive producer Sera Gamble told EW the exciting news today, when teasing the next could-be fan-favorite episode. “It’s episode 8, which is filming now and called ‘Season 7, Time for a Wedding,’” Gamble said. “Both of the boys are involved, and one of them is the groom. So, enjoy your comments section!”

The episode, which Gamble said “has elements of meta,” will be one of the season’s “lighter, funnier episodes,” but will “not attempt to tread in ‘French Mistake’ territory.”

Meanwhile, Gamble teased Friday’s episode, which picks up right where the show left last Friday, with the brothers bound for the hospital filled Leviathans. “Starting with the episode that airs on Friday, we introduce the monster-of-the-week element back into the season,” she said. “We will continue to have that kind of mix of mythology and monsters in the show. But it just so happens the way we are introducing this new monster element this season, it was sort of literally coming out of the last crisis with Castiel. So it made sense to bring the finale into the first few episodes of the season — this way so we ended up with a bunch of Alias style cliffhangers. It was a little bit of a departure for us.”

  1. LOL, I think one of the boys are going to be forced into trying to get married by a MOTW.

  2. Ha! It's one of the boys. I'm betting the episode will involve either time travel \ alternate universe. Anyway the bride will probably die by the end or won't exist somehow. And I'm glad they kept the full title of the ep, with the 'Season 7' :)

  3. :) the greatest part of the article was the :''confirmed what many fans had hoped, which is that we haven’t
seen the last of Castiel, who the boys presume to be dead. “We all love
Misha [Collins], and we plan to write material for him....''

    <3 <3 <3 Yeah!

  4. If this is true, I'm hoping it involves booze, a blackout, a Vegas wedding chapel, and a drunken wedding to some sort of creature.

If Dean wakes up with a huge hangover and married to an equally hungover Kali, it would make my day.

  5. The author says Cas but the Sera quote just refer to Misha. The two aren't interchangeable, and I wonder if the writer made a mistake.

  6. My guess is Sam has hallucinations, Bobby has to stay with him or Bobby is on another thing that deals with the season storyline. So Dean calls Garth.

  7. Your guesses are all wrong, but great ideas.

  8. Hmm, perhaps one of them is marrying a shapeshifter or they are under an enchantment?

  9. one of your guesses is close. :)

  11. I like the cliffhanger ideas, and the monster of the week stemming from something to do with Castiel.  I can understand not bringing him in right now when they want them all to be mourning him.  I can appreciate that.  I just hope the story lines stay as vibrant and active as the first two have been.

  12. Regarding the Alias-style cliffhangers: MOAR PLEASE.

    ReplyDelete
  13. And you know this how?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Marriage? :DDD I wonder if a MOTW will wanna marry one of the boys? Or maybe it's an alternate universe or something? I'm sure the female in question won't live long anyway.

  15. for about an eighth of a second I thought that sentence was gonna read "“Both of the boys are involved, and one of them is the groom" and one will be the bride.  They've made jokes about some of the fan fic before so that was my first thought.

Sounds like I'm going to need a big bowl of popcorn for ep 8!

  16. I have a friend and I've been waiting for talk about this episode to come up for weeks so I could finally discuss the spoiler because I promised I wouldn't say anything until the info came up on its own that there would be a wedding.

    I posted about it here - http://www.all-spn.livejournal.com/972748.html

  17. If your information is correct and I have no reason to doubt it , why would Dean collaborate, presuming he isn't affected ?

    ReplyDelete
  18.   Yeah, I loved Alias and I love cliffhangers,They're what make us come back the next week!.       ( amongst other things, of course :-))

    ReplyDelete
  19. I have no clue why Dean would go along with it.

They're currently filming this episode, almost done I think. I believe ep 9 starts filming Thursday, so if I find out anything more I'll be sure to share it.

  20. Thanks for the info.

  21. I think it will be a fun episode.  looking forward to it.

  22. OK so heres my guess based on what I've read so far and other fan theories-Sam is under some kind of spell he will be the one getting married-Dean will work with the hunter Bobby sends him to (Garth?) for help in order to solve the case and save Sam?

  23.  Sammy gets whammied with Love Potion no.9.  I'm all for it :-)

  24. AAAAHHHH So excited don't get me wrong i love angst in SPN in fact I LIVE for angst in SPN but this sounds AWESOME! I hope one of the boys is drunk... very very very very drunk, or like someone said on some kind of love potion, sounds like soooooo much fun !

    ReplyDelete
  25. OMG !!!! I just read the info! SOOOO excited lmao! Thanks for that nugget!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I really hope Sam is the one getting married and he's like under a spell or something is altering his judgement. Drugged/drunk Sammy is always fun.

    ReplyDelete
  27. this sounds like a comedy episode and it will be fun to see which boy is the groom and who is the bride

  28. I've just read a really disturbing rumour-the girl who puts the whammy on our Sammy is Becky. That firs with the META elements because she was involvd in META episodes and she had a thing for Sam. All I'm going to say id PLEASE DEAR LORD NO! JUST NO! If they bring that nitwit back I wont watch the episode.

    ReplyDelete
  29. wow. what a tease.. what a "misleading" title can do to you...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah, I read it too. I'm probably going to either love this episode or hate it so much that I'll never watch it again. I just think that fangirl meta is annoying. We all know people who are like Becky and it isn't even funny. But let's look at the bright side of things.. at least it isn't "wincest".

    ReplyDelete
  31. They couldnt have married me? I would have settled for anyone of them :DD

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think it'd be funny if they had to kill her. :P

    ReplyDelete
  33. lol Okay, sorry. The way you had worded it made it sound like you thought the brothers were getting married to each other, and I was just "ewww" xD Hahaha. Yeah I've heard the same rumor too. Honestly with Becky, I wouldn't put it past her dosing up Sam with some love potion #9. I think it'd turn out to be hysterical! xD It's obviously something that's not going to last, but still. Hilarious! xD

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yeah I realized that when I reread it. Although with all the wincest comments in canon you never know LOL but yes so ewwwww.

Oh yeah, it will be hysterical watching it and having Dean make jokes about it although I liked the fact that she had moved on with Chuck so if it is her then why the change of heart...and a part of me is hoping that it isn't true. I would prefer a random woman having the hots for one of the boys and wanting to marry him (who DOESN'T?! :P) I do hope that they keep the 'Season 7, Time For A Wedding' title. It is so loltastic!

    ReplyDelete
  35. My bet is on some kind of alternate universe, there is really no other situation I could imagine any of the boys getting married in.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Where's the source for this rumor?

    ReplyDelete
  37. You're not the only one who found her funny.  I've read that a couple of other people liked her.  But personally, I can't stand her.  She's annoying.  I am not looking forward to seeing her taking advantage of Sam.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Was I the only one who found Becky funny?

    ReplyDelete
  39. ...the brothers aren't marrying each other.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thanks, I know that expression but it's the first time i saw it in that format. very cool user name btw  :D

    ReplyDelete
  41. The place that I read about it is here: http://all-spn.livejournal.com/972748.html#cutid1

    ReplyDelete
  42. I know. I meant which Winchester is the groom and what girl is his bride. Although I've seen a rumor that the groom is going to be Sam and the bride to be is Sam fangirl Becky. While the whole wedding thing would be hysterical I'm not keen on Becky and I hope that she isn't the bride.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh God I could not agree more on the "wincest" part but I like meta elements in any given episode honestly :D.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I did read the spoilers but really any excuse to see the Winchesters in a suit works for me! I love that this show can do the light hearted and the intense story lines to really focus on the characters.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Monster of the Week :) a lot of supernatural shows have them as episodes that stand alone, a lot like Supernatural before the whole angel mythology and saving the world every episode :P
