USA Network's veteran comedy Psych returned for its sixth season on Wednesday, and improved upon its fall midseason return the previous year in several key categories.
The opener of Psych, the cable network's longest-running show, was up 8 percent from the Nov. 10, 2010 fall opener in viewership, luring 3 million total viewers at 10 p.m. opposite a bevy of broadcast offerings and the second episode of FX's American Horror Story.
Though it dropped slightly among adults 18-49 to 1.3 million, Psych grew 6 percent in the older 25-54 demo, drawing 1.3 million.

ReplyDeletegreat!!
ReplyDeleteYippy!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor an aging basic cable show going up against a full slate of fall broadcast programming, this is impressive. Though, when you take into account the extremely heavy promotional campaign and weak 10pm competition, it's not quite as impressive as it first seems.
