This case hit home for me since something strikingly similar happened to a good friend of mine... minus the sisterly revenge plan that is.
This case was lone of th weaker ones this year in my opinion. I connected to it for personal reasons like I stated earlier, but it felt a bit slow to me with less Finch an Reese time and more with Carter, Fusco and this week's lucky number.
I think the Finch/ Reese dynamic is the best part of the series and I really missed their interaction in this episode.
The ending did not bother me too much since it was fairly clear that Reese was steering the rapist to kill himself. Whether Reese killed him or he died by his own hand, one less rapist breathing the same air as me is a good thing....
I think this show is great, it really seals Thursday night for me. However, is it just me or is the audio on this show not very good. I do live next to a Naval Air base and have to crank up the tv to hear it over the fighter jets. It just seems that the talking is muffled compaired to the background music. Does anyone else feel that way?
while the ending fell a little flat with me (not the acting, which was superb) and the episode was prolly my least fave so far, it was still a good episode that i enjoyed.
- One thing I appreciate about this show over most other procedurals is that the supporting cast isn't there to merely work the case of the week or for the lead actors to bounce their lines off of. They all have their own individual stories. Most procedurals wouldn't make that effort. - This week's case was pretty interesting but I have mixed feelings about the ending. On one hand, a case of the week on a procedural should never be left open-ended. On the other hand, this seems like a good story for Person of Interest to come back to. I can definitely see Reese and the doctor meeting up again or him showing up to use her skills on a case. - Lastly, I totally called it. The Carter / Finch aspect of the show played out just like I said it would earlier in the week.
There was a lot of stalking going on in this ep. I think this show works best for me when I connect with the target of the week. I didn't have that this week.
So I finally watched this episode on my DVR and after 30 minutes decided to give up on Person of Interest ... I wanted to like it, but it didn't live up to the hype (IMO)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
It was good, but the ending sucked.

Have not seen it yet as I'm not in The States, looking forward to seeing it tomorrow
ReplyDeleteOoh I wonder did Reese kill him at the end
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the ep and thought that the ending was fantastic, Caviezel (sp?) really brought it for me in that scene.
ReplyDeleteI could not quite decide if Reese killed him or if he was talking the guy into killing himself .... but either way I think the guy is good and dead.
