  1. Holy crap all the dead people and Nathan admitted he's in love with Audrey.

HOLY CRAP THAT ENDING. WHAT A TWIST. PLEASE DON'T DO IT, NATHAN. I HOPE YOU DIDN'T DO IT. HOLY CRAP.

    WE NEED A SEASON THREE.

  2. hope her mind doesn't get wiped and I hope that both men are alive what a crazy episode.  Need a season 3!

  3. I am a little confused, I will have to go back and re-watch some episodes. They dole out these little nuggets of info so frustratingly slow! That's one of the reasons I like shows like this some things get wrapped up every week but the bigger mystery does not ever really get answered. Not all at once anyway.

  4. Hope there is a Season 3...that was one heck of a cliffhanger! The lone shot ringing out, Audrey kidnapped, ghosts, and love. Good stuff.

  5. Pretty good episode.
A lot of answers about Haven in the last few episode which is nice. It's almost playing out as 2 teams to end the troubles for ever.. Team Audrey and Team Duke. She shows up every time the Troubles return and kills the Crocker who can cancel out curses.

If a Crocker killed every Troubled person there would be no more Troubles theoretically.Audrey seems to be a Troubled guardian who can help without having to kill them, but then the curse returns in later generations.... Interesting situation.

Still no answers as to why the Troubles return who who cause them per se. It seems like Audrey is the key to that and that Dave and Vince know more than ever. Speaking of Dave and Vince.... anyone else think one of them may have taken Audrey?  The other possible kidnapper in my mind is Agent Howard. He still seems to have a role to play other than just returning the new Sarah/ Lucy/ Audrey to Haven every generation.

I'm a little sad it ended since they FINALLY started answering questions about the town. The cliffhanger does not concern me in the least since both will live, but even if one did end up dead It would turn the annoying love-triangle into a couple and I would be happy to be rid of the triangle finally....

  6. I definitely agree that either Vince or Dave kidnapped Audrey. Probably Vince since he seems more concerned over this whole thing.

Well I was stuck on time-travel being a possible reason why Audrey Hasn't aged since the old photo, but I'm thinking now some weird destiny/power is involved. But like you said Agent Howard still needs to be explained, and if he's involved in the logistics of getting her to and from Haven as you think, then he's probably behind the mind wipe if there is one, but still how do we explain agelessness on Audrey's part.

Three scenarios jump out of my mind to explain Audrey's situation:

    1. Weird destiny/power, that is activated every so many years as needed when the troubles arise. She happens to be ageless. (this I'm working on still as it's a new theory)

    2. Time Travel: At some point in Audrey's near future she will need to go back in time to see these people, to try to prevent something she fudged up. While there she will assume the name Sarah, and try to stop their troubles, she'll succeed by killing someone who just so happens to be Duke's Grandfather. Then she'll realize that The Chief was right and that she'll need to kill Duke's Dad too. She'll then transcend time again and skip to the Colorado Kid times, help their troubled until she finds and kill's Duke's dad. A whole bunch of other fun filler type stuff will happen then the show will end exactly like it began, with Audrey arriving in Haven to investigate a murder, only this time she'll remember everything and have the power to change it all. Only thing is; How does she (hypothetically) time travel? Is it a power she possesses, or is it something only Agent Howard can achieve for her? Maybe Dave or Vince are behind it. Maybe there is some sort of object that she must use. (my favorite theory now revised slightly in light of the new revelations)

    3. Audrey is one of many clones. this explains the lack of memory, and the differing names each time. I'm sure over the years there would be different handlers for her, thus different people name things differently, not to mention if they kept sending in the same named clones then I'm sure more attention would be gotten than wanted. (This is the least favorite of my theories)

Your final paragraph makes me think that you think this will be the series finale, but I think SyFy will take over the reigns of this show, and give it at least one more season. But I think 3 might be a charm.

  7. Wow enough said.  All I want to say is there better be a season 3.

  8. I have this little theory .. I think that maybe Dave had a relationship with Lucy/Sarah in the past and that maybe he gave her the ring we saw Vince give Audrey and that's why he does'nt want her to be told her past or to remember it. If so it may be kind of like a history repeating itself only with Nathan and Audrey now .. I dunno .. lol

  9. So basically Haven is like Battlestar Galactica "all this happened before and all will happen again". Just this time something seems different. Yeah, so BSG. I LOVE IT!!!!

  10. Oh my! Please tell me we'll get a season 3, it can't finish like this!!!!

  11. really love it. the ending was well done, although the epi wasnt my favourite over all. Bring on Season 3!!! (well hopefully) :D

  12. I can't figure out exactly what the deal is with Audrey either. I never really felt it was time travel, however that does fit and solve many of the questions....

As to the show's fate.... I just meant I was sad the SEASON is over, not the series itself. I hope it will be back and think it will. Stranger things have happened though....

  15. Fantastic episode!
And I believe this is not the last episode there is this season?
Both imdb and wikipedia mention an 13th episode!

Season 2, Episode 13: Silent NightOriginal Air Date—7 October 2011

  16. NOOOOO This cannot be the season finale! Damn imdb.com says there is one more episode which is obviously a lie since the promo said this was a finale!!! DANG. that was intense

  18. Regarding #2: If we take The Colorado Kid into account and its connection to The Dark Tower, then Audrey simply uses doors to cross time. It'd explain the rings too. If she came from the future where she has already married Nathan, it could be their rings. Vince gave hers, and Nathan now has the one the Chief had.

  19. Haven has been amazing this season! I wish SyFy would decide quickly whether or not to renew the show. *Sigh*

  20. Good theory! I'm guessing if the mytharc plays out as possibly the Haven creators intended it to, this will be the last iteration for Audrey, the Chief/Nathan and Duke/his father. I don't know what the end will look like but I presume the "troubles" will be over and the "troubled" might not be unintentionally able to harm anyone with their "trouble". I just hope that Audrey/Lucy/Sarah doesn't just disappear like "Kara Thrace"/Starbuck did at the end of BSG. Dave (or Vince?) said "she is different this time".

I wonder who tazed Audrey and took her if it wasn't Duke. His pendant could have been left behind because someone else wanted to stir trouble between Duke and Nathan.

  21. Great write -up, dana!  Great ending questions and especially am interested now (and before) who "Agent Howard" is and I think the "troubles" have been recurring for 100's of years based on the newspaper articles. I noticed that one older one has the name "Reverend Flagg" on it. I know that the original story "The Colorado Kid" (that I have not read) supposedly doesn't have any paranormal stuff in it, but I do know that many of SK's works include the name Flagg and the character is always an agent for evil.

  22. Wonderful write-up, I'm wondering about your questions too.
Here my two cents theory about what happen after the finale (please excuse my English LOL): if Nathan will shot Duke it will be too obvious (considering the whole story about a man with the tatoo will kill Duke) and I think that Nathan wouldn't kill Duke (also if he hate him and he's worried sick about Audrey). What if Duke shot Nathan, not a deadly shot, just injury Nathan on a shoulder or something like that, Nathan's blood drop on Duke's hand and after that Nathan's trouble disappear! It will give them a new perspective, Duke don't have to kill troubled people to "cure" them, but just absorbe their blood. Maybe Crocker's family never consider this possibility.
It will give new hope to Nathan/Duke friendship (I don't like the idea they hate each other in next season), they could work as a team and find out who took Audrey, find her and bring her home with Nathan where she belongs.
The three of them will be able to help troubled people and put an end of the troubles, Audrey wont' have to dissapear another time like Sara and Lucy and she can finally have a bit of happyness with Nathan.... happy ending :)I know that things won't be so simple on Haven, but a girl can dream :DNow we just need Season 3!!!Wondering what this "2x13 Silent Night" episode is and if it really exist!?!?

  23. But the Chief (and now Nathan) has a matching ring. I'm more inclined to believe the rings have more to do with Audrey and Nathan than to Audrey (or whoever she was) and Dave

  24. Good episode.  Plenty of answers given and plenty of new questions pop up.  I can't wait to find out who kidnapped Audrey, IF there's another season.

  25. Thought the finale was amazing.  Really strong end to the season.  Kind of worried that there has been no talk of a third season... they can't end it there can they?  That would just be too cruel.

  26. I just realized I didn't pop in to blather right after I watched the ep.  Let me just say up front...I hate the 'did one of the leads shoot the other lead' scenes.  Puleeze.

    But....what happened to Audrey?

I absolutely loved the destiny stuff...and the ghosts of the people who, at least know what's going on, popping in to fill in the blanks and dump their baggage on their sons.  And I really liked knowing that history isn't going to repeat itself because Duke and Nathan both love Audrey.

(Was I the only person theorizing that Dukes trouble doesn't require him to kill.  I'm thinking it's like the guy who stole people's trouble.  Duke gets their blood on him and it frees the bloodline from their trouble.)

If the goal was to endure that I'd tune in next season....they succeeded in spades.

  27. I thought about the time travel thing, too. My working theory for a while was that Duke was actually the Colorado Kid (thus, they die because of the same person) and that Audrey was somehow time traveling, which would explain all her other incarnations.

I'm sure the actual mythology will blow my idea out of the water, but it's hard to guess what that will be just from what they give us over the length of a season... Love your ideas, though!
